I have made every effort including chucking those dangerous mercury vapour filled energy saving bulbs in the bin, lit the paraffin heater and exceeded the speed limit in the lowest possible gear for as long as possible, yet its still cold, polar bear numbers are increasing and the polar caps are expanding. Is there any hope of me having a decent holiday in Skegness this year if this chill continues? Unfortunately our cunning plan does not appear to be working. Well I doubt it somehow, however I shall try to remain open minded to the possibilty. Last time it was really hot here was, apparently, the end of May 2009. Where was I? In Sicily! The heatwave had hit there too however and even I, a seasoned traveller, struggled in 45 degrees celsius. However, I shall join OCB in the global warming attempts by putting my foot down in my environmentally unfriendly, 15 year old sports car. Might as well have some fun!!
