What Vegetables Can I Grow in My Garden

Right then folks - it’s prime growing weather !
All this sunshine has left me feeling all hot and bothered - it’s time I got the Goldeneye Dibber out again !

It could be the excitement of Naked Gardening Day or simply the deluxe weather, which has resulted in the bronzing of the now legendary Goldeneye Torso :) , but I’m feeling massively enthused with the Kitchen Garden project 2008.

I intend to lever open the Goldeneye wallet and recklessly spend on seeds etc.
Well done I hear you say but where do I come in ?

Well, anybody local could help me with the wallet, it takes some opening and is liable to snap shut again posing a considerable threat to one’s digits.
Or you could offer suggestions for which vegetables I should grow !

Yes folks I’m throwing it open to you all. I shall act on suggestions but make them quick if you can !

I’ve already got Parsnips in and Onions and Shallots which are fantastic and I’d photograph them if I had a working camera.

Operation River Cottage will give you some idea of the on-going planting of last year if you are new to the site and missed out on the cliff-hanger excitement of my organic vegetable growing.

So there we go - all suggestions welcome, apart from those telling me to boil my head or send them naked pictures, I look forward to hearing from you.
What vegetable should I grow in my kitchen garden ?

All the best

I think that you should try things a little out of the ordinary, a little bit exotic.

    Rod,

The Witches have splashed out and bought some butternut squash seeds… not cheap mind so probably beyond the Goldeneye wallet. Not that we’ll be eating them all… we hope to be driving at least one, complete with Footman and horses :)

thnaks for that, much appreciated, I’ll check it out
The range I bought today was fairly ordinary
Just planted squash, leeks and yellow dwarf beans from Germany so they are a bit more interesting.
Got peas and French beans left to do
The sun is beaming down and it’s glorious
