Brazillian Beach Volley Girl
Not being a fan of watching sport in general you’ll readily understand why I’m not watching the olympic Games - perhaps I’ve been too hasty !
The girls from Brasil seem to have the event sewn up, in picture terms at least !
The Secret Signals
There would appear to be 2 basic themes to this sport. The secret signals and taking pictures of perfectly formed butts !
I suspect the signals are just an excuse for more of the latter - either way I’d like to know what they mean !
I wonder what the serious players feel about the way the sport is portrayed - obviously I’m not helping with the cliched image but then when did I ever help with anything useful.
Volleyball Cheerleaders
I was aware of the sport before but something I was unaware of was the presence of cheerleaders - surely this is over egging it somewhat !
I take my hat off as they seem to going all out to market the game and I suspect when the 2012 London Games start this could be a huge publicity drive.
The UK tabloid press will have a pic frenzy with all this and no doubt it will spread throughout the world as idiot bloggers use the pictures as an excuse to talk about sport and the games

Sand gets absolutely everywhere
I should at least have researched who are the best players and leading teams rather providing nothing but a visual guide !
Beach Bum
Appearance is everything - make sure everything is in place - you never know when you’ll be photographed.
Be prepared and careful when bending over !

Nike seem to have latched onto this in a big way, strange place to put their logo though you’d think they’d want it in a more prominent position - after all whose going to take a picture from that angle

Not sure whether she’s an actual player or a promo girl - not sure I particularly care either !

If you ever wanted to know about cultural changes in China then look no further than the picture above.
The host country has laid on scantily clad cheerleaders and looking at one of them even breast implants are making an appearance.

Funny you should post this subject…. we were only thinking of you the other day when an important volley ball match was in full swing. Now there’s a sport for RC we thought and quite honestly it was a nail-biting match and we wished we had seen more. Sadly the olympic producers focus on the other sports.
Rod tell us all, were you not born to play volley ball? You are tall and skinny and with a self proclaimed springy step, you like beaches and sun bathing….. you may have missed your vocation

never seen it played on TV though I have seen people playing it on the beach at Cleethorpes - the effect was not quite the same I’m sorry to say

Earlier on this afternoon I asked a sports expert if they thought the Witches should begin training in beach volley ball for the London Olympics…… ‘yes definitely’ came the answer, ’since I saw how competitive you were at beach boulder shot put two years back in Cornwall’…. ‘you do realise that the costume is on the small side?’…. ‘well yes’ we said, ‘in fact we intend to wear an ankle to chin body stocking with some small pants on top’
Height and eye to ball co-ordination never came into it so we assumed these must be surplus to requirement

T’is all true - sports expert was very encouraging although perhaps a little misguided! Beware, Woe, in competitive mode, when participating in beach sports, has proven to be a nifty little mover - her victory “dance” is indeed something to behold!

Part one of training will consist of digging up someone’s newly turfed lawn and putting it down to sand. There’s no point straining ourselves in the early stages so we’ll set the net at about 4′
We shall divide the team into skills, lunging, falling over, under wiring and maintaining a visible pant line….. and since true grit (well sand) and determination are the hallmarks of Coven women, we should expect victory and a lucrative lingerie contract from Ed’s Big Knicker market stall at the very least

Did you know that ten pairs of volley ball briefs can be made from just one Motorhead t-shirt so we’ll be flying the flag for recycling as well…… at this stage though, we’re not sure about security so we may well have to incorporate them (with careful stitching and duck tape) into an all in one body stocking and hope we encounter no ladders. One wild lunge at the net and it’s good night Vienna
