Peter,
thanks for the comment and welcome to the site.
It's a great spot and as you say the notice boards are superb, probably some of the best I've seen in fact
Regards

WoE
The chances of the pair of you meeting any promising women at such sites is surely remote though
That's why we went there :)
Anyway, there are plenty of sheep and they seem like a better bet than women - they make less noise, less mess and you won't have to buy them a coat :)
Cheers

Rod,

That ruin looks a bit precarious... not to mention the building :)

How wonderful to have a day out with your brother and to be chauffeur driven with lunch included.... no doubt served on board LB's private jet :) The chances of the pair of you meeting any promising women at such sites is surely remote though so your next assignment should include a social atmosphere perhaps.... somewhere the Witches and Mother might approve of mind you. Keep well away from the coast and any of LB's old haunts.... in fact anywhere trouble may lurk.... is that too narrow a path to tread?

Rod,
They could, and should make far more of this. The pity is that despite the wonderful stonework the immediate surroundings leave much to be desired, sheep droppings do little to encourage a second visit.

LB,
I stilll don't understand why such places are all but ignored. It is an English heritage site so they do acknowledge it.
There is so much more going on around here than even we realise !
Best

Okay, I want to adopt you two
I should stick with just the one were I you - the one who drives and cooks represents much better value :)

Okay, I want to adopt you two. I need a chauffer, and, heaven knows I could use a chef, and then I need an expert in classic detective fiction to help enlighten me. So, when can you move here?

Spectacular photos and a great post. While I can't offer any old abbeys for you here, there are several stores and restaurant buildings that are currently deserted in my area. Would those do for a photo shoot?
