I was talking with a mate the other night about local Leeds area bands we used to see, the likes of Vardis, Dedringer, Baby Tuckoo, Arena, Harlequyn etc some very good bands and lots of great memories. Then a few from the 90s Damned Nation, Hellzapoppin', The Suffrajets, expected at least one or two to make it bigger than they did. Often wonder what they're up to now. I was also born and brought up in Lincolnshire! I was a roadie/stage technician for Vardis for about 3 tears from late 81 to about 84. I also played in a band called Desperate Oates based around the Sleaford area. I moved to Cornwall in 1989 and formed a band Chain Lightning. We were signed to a Greek independent a couple of years ago who released an album of ours. I still keep in contact occasionally with Gary Pearson the drummer from Vardis. Kind Regards Jake Well!
