Troy Conway Bibliography The Coxeman Checklist of Books
Good morning literature lovers - Rod Damon here !
I have been asked by a man of rare taste and culture, Mr Monster A Go-Go, for further information about my literary exploits, so here goes …
A Guest Article Written By The Coxeman
Given the covert nature of my profession; international counter-spy, secret agent and philanderer, it has always been important to preserve my incognito. Unfortunately, my exploits, both professional and personal, became so legendary that there was great pressure to go into print.
Naturally I couldn’t have this as autobiographical so I came up with the wheeze of putting them out in novel format. To that end Michael Avallone was brought in to ghost write, under the pseudonym Troy Conway, a series of adventures featuring my good self.
Of course the ruse worked for the main part and those who bought the books enjoyed them believing them to be works of fiction and clearly exaggerated - little did they know !
Some were even naive enough to suggest they were parodies of The Man from Uncle series or that nancy boy James Bond - their manliness does not even begin to compare to mine - their tally of Man Points is but an insignificant micro number compared to my huge tally (site owner edit: removed obscene gag about a huge tally)
I shall carry on this literary exposition further down the page, after this list of magnificent tomes:

As you can see, it is a canon of work which defies comparison in literary terms.
I was always particularly pleased with the authors ability to come up with excellent titles for the books.
I am particularly fond of It’s Getting Harder All the Time, A Stiff Proposition and Keep It Up Rod.
The onset of the interweb has brought even more attention to my exploits, largely through this website though I hate to admit it. I now receive masses of emails ( I think that’s what they are called) every week from women seeking my special brand of undercover work and from increasing numbers of men seeking my advice on becoming more manly.
There have also been several approaches from cosmetic companies wishing to buy the rights to my privately blended aftershave called Stallion.
I have resisted these advances, rarely do I resist an advance, due mainly to health and safety reasons. Few men are capable of dealing with a woman after she has been engulfed in a tidal wave of Stallion aroma. !
I once allowed the owner of this site to try a dab behind his ears, he was set about by a hot-chick and left with a groin strain !
In conclusion, I would recommend people seek out these books though sadly they are no longer in print. Few publishers are brave enough to publish the exploits of Rod Damon aka The Legendary Coxeman even in this diluted and toned down format.
Keep it Up !

sadly I do not have copies in my own library I’m afraid. It’s so gauche when people own books about themselves I think !
The author Michael Avallone died in 1999 so he’ll not be signing copies anymore (except for ebayers of course

Dear Mr. Damon, Thank you for your interesting article and the confession that the Coxeman novels are your true exploits!
I was talking about your books with a lady only this week, her name is Olga and she’s visiting England in search of her father, whom she’s never met. Olga’s mother was apparently a spy during the Cold War in Cairo during 1968 and Olga was saying what a coincidence one of the Coxeman novels was set in Cairo in 1968, I suggested she goes to see you as you might know who her father was? Best of luck and hope you give Olga’s eight children a big welcome as they all seem to be anxious to meet you!!!!

ah well, now don’t do anything too hasty, I don’t really see the need to draw attention to me.
Man to man, I’m sure you understand how delicate these matters can be.
Women are notoriously touchy when it comes to the father of their children - must be their enhanced sensitivity which can border on hysteria.
I think it best all round if we keep quiet about this, of course I’m sure it’s just a coincidence, but never-the-less …
Keep it Quiet !
