Too Old to Dress as a St Trinian’s Schoolgirl ?
It seems film buffs are in for a real treat, there is to be a sequel to the recent St Trinian’s movie.
Former Bond girl Gemma Arterton is reviving her role as Kelly Jones but at 23 is she too old to be dressing as a schoolgirl - a burning question of the day in some of today’s papers
I personally have never liked the idea on principal nor do others like the idea but I’ll not bang on about it - check the links out.
For the purpose of the film we need to believe she’s young enough to still be at school and if she is it would seem she’s been spending more time in the tuck shop than the gymnasium judging by this, the latest picture taken on the set of the new film 
Whilst getting the links to other related posts I was reminded of another matter of great annoyance, the Girls Aloud theme tune to the last film - it drives me up the wall, but not for the reason you’d expect from The Lone Shredder and a Motorhead fan - it’s so catchy I have to admit to actually liking it 
The St Trinian’s Girls are renowned for causing a general riot and I can vouch for this as, I’m sure regulars will remember, I was actually on the receiving end of such mayhem myself just over a year ago
It seems like ageism in the extreme when the press are calling a 23 year old past it but they say ageing is crueler to women than men - she may be heading toward the positively rotund 
but she’s hardly mutton dressed as lamb quite yet.
If anybody is having a problem with their age then I suspect it’s me !
I have to admit that I’m doing this for variation and to give regular readers a rest from the historical and more serious stuff.
I’ve always tried to vary things as we have such a large and eclectic number of visitors but the worrying thing this time is that I’m more interested in The Chapter House at Lincoln than I am a Bond girl like the Fragrant Gemma Arterton !

Hmmmm, I’ve thought about it and simply cannot admit that, I refuse to accept it, sorry - no can do !
My lack of interest in her must stem from the fact she’s let herself go - unlike me - two decades her senior
