Things to Do in Lincolnshire
I really does feel as though winter is here now, summer, such as it was, has gone so it’s time to plan for the coming months.
What should I be doing more of and what should I be doing less of ?
Blogging
-
I think I shall try and do more with this site, possibly several pages a day if and when possible.
I do like the doing it and it seems to go from strength to strength, visitor wise at least.
It was interesting to be contacted by an old friend, as previously mentioned. Also amusingly one of my MySpace friends, Bethany Sweet, contacted me to say that she lived in LA and Lemmy from Motorhead kept chatting her up at the Rainbow Bar - Go Lemmy ! and thanks to Bethany Sweet, who signed off X0X0, for taking the time to write.
If you look to the right sidebar under Classic Posts, you’ll see the last link is a new page I have built showing all my friends on one page and without leaving the site - check it out at your peril !
Looking for Things to Do in Lincolnshire
-
This is something I also intend to pursue and, as always, welcome any suggestions. Well not any, things like move to London you can spare me from
Guitar Playing
-
This I am enjoying again immensely, I also think I’m playing better now than ever before which is encouraging given the layoff period.
I must stop watching Paul Gilbert’s Get Out of My Yard and Paul Gilbert’s Killer Guitar Trip though - I’ll go blind
I may also weave some more guitar based stuff into the site
The Daniel Craig Workout
-
This I have to get back to in earnest !
Don’t worry waist watchers I’m still in size 10s but the regime has slid in direct proportion to the ascendance of attempted guitar hero status. Must try harder
Operation River Cottage Phase Two
-
I hope to be harvesting more yet and beginning preparations for a big and better version next year. I am going to continue, and indeed try to expand, so watch this space and if there is any interest I can keep updating how things are going on this site - only if people want it though as I don’t want to bore people with it ! - you bore us with everything else so why not this I hear you cry
More predictions and Calling What’s to Come !
-
I’ll be trying to keep my finger on the pulse, bring you some inside scoops and hopefully predictions a la Go Kimi . May also try and mix it up with a bit more controversy !
If there is anything people would like to see more of, or indeed less of, on the site let me know.
Also anything I should be doing this winter - or anything you plan to

Rod,
If there is anything people would like to see …
… not sure the Witches count as ‘people’ but we would like to see less hot chicks and more of your mundane life stories. Even the Coxeman and dear old Rev are much more interesting than your virtual girlie friends. Pickings have become so slim we’re actually missing the Transglobal boot ….
What will we be doing this winter… well, the Coven needs constant renovation and so we’ll be up to our cauldrons in hard work (stop sniggering Rod). Winter garden pruning and designing a fab back yard for partying although sadly it’s unlikely to be finished before Halloween (sob). Most of all we’ll be socializing with the ordinary, the extraordinary and a few that defy categorization.

Rod,
Your My Space tally is very impressive! This internet social networking isn’t as as sad as some make out!
Keep it Up!

I try to avoid mundane whenever possible, some things in life are unavoidable but I don’t seek out the mundane.
That said I went to a golf driving range this afternoon - 1st time ever !

Jordan,
Through the mists of time we seem to recall Rod saying something like ‘comments from you and Jordan are important to this site’ … my question is do we feel valued? Are we being too soft with him? The reclusive life of a Wybers Wood bachelor (the sort that don’t travel far) probably isn’t going to dredge up much in the way of anecdotal gossip. Ah well, better ask him how his golf went … strikes us he’d be good at it as long as the course doesn’t extend too far out of his ‘range’

Rod,
Glad to hear you’re getting out and about, how did it go? Are you going to be the new Tiger ‘Wybers’ Woods?
I try to avoid mundane whenever possible … just a little reminder of the meaning of ‘mundane’: dull or routine, everyday, commonplace, humdrum, run-of-the-mill, ordinary, concerned with practical matters, not ideals. Definitely not you at all
Don’t forget to yell ‘fore’ incase of a boomerang golf ball situation

Rod, Golf ??? Is this the first of a series of reports that you heralded “Looking for things to do in Lincolnshire”, may I suggest indoor bowls as played in Horncastle or plane spotting at R.A.F. Coningsby.

I’m not sure I could quite handle the levels of excitement that surround The Horncastle Indoor Bowling Scene - I suspect it’s a young man’s game

The mists of time surely have clouded RC’s brain, infused by too much alcohol and cigarettes.
All we can do is try our best, but now what with the’Golf’ episode, i think that we have a battle on our key-board!
