Now Snoop Dogg has been talking about starting his own x-factor type show. When will it stop? Sometimes they are entertaining but even the judges themselves don't like 60%+ of the acts they judge and even then only a tiny percent are actually good enough to move on... soooooo by their own account the show isn't that good. There has got to be tons of premises for good TV shows out there yet network television is cycling the same used up cliche' premises over and over again. You can only watch so many contest variety shows before you go numb mentally or watch so many cop/detective shows like CSI, law and order, cops, etc etc etc etc etc before you die a little inside each night. I don't watch TV until about 5pm on but OMG It's sad to keep channel surfing and finding nothing but the same stuff on every station. Even if it's not a variety show it's a "judge" type program like Survivor or something like that. God please make it stop! I find myself heading to the internet more and more and watching TV less and less. And don't get me started on Cable TV at a billion dollars a month and for what??? To watch Bonanza for the billionth time or hear Aunt B Yell "Andy" for the trillianth time. To watch news channels like CNN and Fox crank out TABLOID like news? Arrghghghghghgh!!!! But anyway, back to X-Farter I mean X-Factor. I am sick of looking at Simon's annoying face and I am sick of these 1970's looking Variety shows. Back in the 70s as a child I used to feel sick to my stomach to watch such shows as the Gong Show or those other types of Variety shows that sickens the soul. In the US I have noticed that I've seen British TV shows that have great premises that in the States we just don't do or cover. Not until they realize it's great stuff and then we copy it. Well, anyway, I also see however the England has their silly shows as well but in America it's like TV has ! gone stale, flat, and used up like chewed up bubble gum. They are going through the motions with no flavor. The major networks need to get inspiration somewhere from this earth to start creating new shows with fresh premises, or at least bring back premises that haven't been so over used. And what gives with putting an X in front of products and services all the time??? ha ha ha From energy drinks to body wash, from protein shakes to TV shows the letter X has now become a cliche'.
