The Differences Between Men and Women

Inspired by a suggestion by Jordan - what are the differences between men and women ?

As Jordan quite rightly points out, not physical and no Hot Chick garbage, sensible stuff, well ….

One obvious one is multi-tasking.
A well known trait of women and failing amongst men. Women can successfully do several things at once, something most men struggle with.
The other side if that is that men tend to do single tasks better as they are able to concentrate totally on something.
It all goes back, as everthing does, to when we were cavemen, even problems parking cars can be traced that far back.

Any more for any more ?

    Multi-Tasking
As before mentioned - men thinking after the fact, women thinking before it!
Women can do DIY. Only the caveman in the man, says ‘No me’ and then whines about it for days afterwards - didn’t have the right tools etc!!
Men do 80% of a job, they never finish it….. WHY??!!………
    Come on men answer us!

I disagree with the act first think later.
Men tend to be more logical I think, women more prone to acting on a whim and sometimes a little flighty :)

As to finishing things off, I think men bore of minor details, like finishing touches etc. They see the main job basically done then lose interest.

    Here’s 2 more
Women are more compassionate and less aggressive

Men tend to be more independent and less ‘needy’

    Rod,
What is the difference between Men and Children?

    Nothing!!!!!!

Most men I have had the pleasure and also been unfortunate to meet have, as you so rightly say, been extremely logical and think things through too much, whereas most of the women I know, speak first and ask questions later.

There is only one thing I have ever known a man to finish off!!!!!!!!!!

    excellent :)

Interesting point about men and boys.
Men do retain their boyish traits and women tend not to.

Watch men when children get a train set or Scalextric set come out !
You would not get the same reaction from women when little grls get dolls out etc.

I agree, I think that is because women just get on with the problem in hand, whereas men analyze the situation first.

I like your style ! You could be a female version of Rod Damon :)

I have to reply in a cliched away along the lines, they might be good drivers but how many women out there have had to get a man to park or get a car out of a tricky spot ?

On a genuine note, I have never been in a car with a woman driving and felt she is 100% fully in control of the vehicle. It happens in various degrees but is something akin to the woman just holding on with the car really being in charge and her just going with the flow.

    Point taken,
I just thought it would make for a good argument. I am sure there are some men out there trying to think of a comment to make.
I can always remember being told that I am the best driver in the world,

    Rod,
Men say thank you when you hold a door open for them or give way to them when driving. As for driving, I have never met a woman who can drive and talk whilst watching the road at the same time. Last week I was in the car of one of my female employee’s who kept looking at me every time she spoke. When I suggested she looked at the oncoming traffic rather than myself (as difficult as that must be!) she replied ‘Yes, but it’s rude not to look at someone when you are talking to them!
Finally, women make crap friends, the women I work with constantly moan about their friends and generally bitch about them-blokes don’t.

you make some solid points there.

‘Yes, but it’s rude not to look at someone when you are talking to them!

    Classic female logic :)
    Here’s another:

Women talk more than men !

I know men always say women constantly gas on about everything and nothing but research has found it to be true.
Here is a quote from the research

The average woman uses 7,000 words a day and five tones of speech, he points out. The average man uses 2,000 words and three tones

  16. Femme Fatale said,

    Rod,
I once spent 6 hours on the phone to a male and recall that he did most of the talking, so as your research may be an average, I know someone that exceeds the norm by miles.

Therefore, Women Make Better Listeners ;)

We know some men, one in particular, who prefer the company of women due to the fact that there’s often nothing to be gleaned from their male acquaintances, who as you point out have very little to say, certainly nothing of any great interest!

    Never !

I do prefer the company of women though you miss represent me. It’s true that much male conversation, football etc, is tedious to me.
If they do have anything of interest or use to say to me - I already know it :)

And yes, that was a joke for the odd ones who don’t get it

Being serious, male or female company ?
Depends entirely on what they have to offer - anything interesting to say ?
Conversation rather than simply talking etc
Failing that it’s always worth getting in inside track on how women think and operate, it’s certainly stood me in good stead.

” WOMEN ARE BETTER THAN MEN”.

I think we’re all good in our own ways (vomit)

I think on the whole men are better but it’s a close call.
If we were on a planet of women there would be no wars and things would be doubtless nicer.
However, you’d have no cars to drive or bridges to cross rivers.
Where would be be if we relied solely on what women have achieved over the years :)

As to Sunday lunch, it was cooked by the only women who cannot be picked on or faulted :)
It was a culinary delight, of course !

Female is of course the natural form, so we were all girlies in the beginning. Somewhere along the line there must have been a mutation and voila the male was born. Granted what we should have done was to ask for a refund but some bright spark said …. wait a minute, perhaps this could lead to cars and bridges so let’s keep them for a while. Like the Tribbles (?) on Star Trek and the grey squirrel … they seem to have multiplied at an alarming rate. Still, every now and again they produce a Daniel Craig so perhaps we should persevere ….. mmmmm Daviel Craig in touch with his feminine side, now that’s a hybrid worth waiting for!

    Rod,
Further to my experiencing female reversing the other day, I almost got hit by a female moped rider as I was turning into the gym car park this afternoon. Neglecting to look in front of her before pulling out she would have hit me straight in my drivers side. Luckily, I adopted my Schumacher like driving skills and narrowly missed getting hit. This after a forty minute drive from Branston to the centre of Lincoln. I felt like selling my car and locking myself in a shed.
