The Best and the Worst of 2007
A review of all that was good and bad for me in 2007
Taken overall a year of more highs than lows
2007 has been good to your host, for the most part things that happened and life in general was good, no room for complaint.
Good things were genuinely good and the negative things little more than minor annoyances in the main.
The Goldeneye
Growing my own vegetables
-
Truly a satisfying experience and one I shall be repeating to a greater extent next year
A New healthier lifestyle
-
Started just this week, and before new year’s resolution time, an end to drink and smoke filled evenings
Playing the Guitar
-
Returning to the fold of shred guitar - great - also playing better than ever much to my surprise!
All my friends in Horncastle
-
An absolute delight - long may it continue
The relentless rise in visitors to this site
-
Traffic rises every month as do the number of return visitors - very encouraging, I even had a 1,000 unique visitors who looked at over 4,000 pages on Christmas Day
Paul Gilbert
-
An inspiration !
People who take the time to comment
-
Those that participate in this site by leaving comments and adding to posts - greatly appreciated - we encourage those that ‘lurk’ to do the same
Books and Reading
-
I’ve read and enjoyed an awful lot of books this year
The Goldeneye
Things that didn’t go according to plan
-
Not everything in life goes according to plan - a salutary lesson in life - if one were needed
No Real Summer
-
Summertime was a great disappointment weather wise, inhibits your host somewhat
Progress
-
Whilst having a very steady & pleasant year I probably haven’t achieved a great deal - apart from being slimmer I’m pretty much where I was this time last year
Paul Gilbert
-
A bloody nightmare, well bloody fingers !
Anything to do with politics and the government
-
I’m bored with it and feel totally disenfranchised
Boredom
-
A life long recurring battle with seemingly little prospect of victory
Well those are the things that spring most readily to mind. Clearly looking back I have little to complain about - especially given the lot of many people.
If anything else invades my thoughts I shall add it in comment form.
If you have any highs or lows or just generally good or bad things to share feel free to leave a comment and share them with us
All the best
Rod
