Stolen Rare Books on ebay
Half-wit of the week goes to an ebayer (there’s a surprise)
Somebody who works at a public library in Manchester
Decided to gradually steal some of their fine and rare books. Nothing new here, people have been stealing rare books and first editions from libraries since the idea was invented.
This brain donor decided he would liquidize his ill gotten gains, as villains are minded to do.
It is then he has a flash of inspiration.
I know I shall put these rare and easily identifiable books on ebay !
Needless to say, Inspector Knacker of the Yard has felt his collar
Ebay seems to draw people of limited mentality like a magnet. Whilst this is meant to be facetious, it is also true. When you look at what many ebay sellers do and when you deal with ebay buyers it is truly staggering.
Many really are a different breed

Have been tempted by the allure of a free meal to attend a seminar tomorrow on “selling on the internet”. To e-bay or not to e-bay, not sure I can be bothered….. however, I shall go with an open mind and an empty stomach.

Mary,
sounds like a laugh, I’ve heard of similar courses and always thought about going for the amusemennt.
I look forward to hearing how it went. I wonder if the mention:
Taking Paypal
More and better pictures etc
PS, avoid the food - if it’s associated with ebay it will be be potentially poisonous!

Rod,
Presentation about what they promise to tell you at the next presentation!! Website production and management plus how to be successful! Fast-talking American - reluctantly admit that he did actually manage to sound a little sincere - poor bloke - faced with a sea of very sceptical faces!
Food somewhat disappointing but later remedied by chocolate and pecan brownies with honey comb ice-cream at the Wig & Mitre!

Mary,
if you want an ebay-website masterclass then be at Good for Books on a Tuesday
Food’s always fantastic too - though sadly the culinary side of things is exclusive to me! Much to the chagrin of others
PS, if at the Wig & Mitre in Lincoln, I can recommend the salmon and spring onion fishcakes - not unpleasant
Cheers
Rod
