Site Outage
As many regular visitors will be aware the site has, unfortunately, been down for 24 hours or so.
I should like to apologise to everybody and thank them for their emails of concern and for your patience.
The problem was a critical failure of the site server which is based in the USA and completely beyond my control.
It is VERY disappointing in how long the site was down for - more so as I do pay a lot of money to host this site - far more than any other of my sites.
The money goes into making the site as fast and visitor friendly as possible so when the experience is bad it is doubly disappointing for me personally.
Interesting new post which I shall put up in the morning and my apologies once again also my thanks for your forbearance
Back on Linely Yours
Rod

Neville,
phew indeed . . .
I love this site as the site you see but as the site I see technically I hate it - it’ so complicated also being database driven etc etc I always have a feeling of impending doom.
I love standard hand-coded HTML pages but unfortunately that won’t work here

Rod,
I was hoping-sorry, thought you were giving us-sorry, yourself an Easter break, wishful thinking?

Rod,
I was beside myself and both of us were pacing the floor, distraught and directionless

Rod,
Thank you for your reply to my email and for this post. I know this will sound stupid, but I was relieved to find out that it was a server problem, and NOT my computer (which seemed to be acting crazy anyway). It did remind me, however, to back-up the project I am working on.
