Sainsbury’s Sucks !

The UK supermarket giant Sainsbury’s sucks ! Even worse it blows !
And this is from a guy who has been using the store since it opened probably 15 years or so ago
PS: They can’t even spell

I’ve always been happy to pay a bit more for quality and that goes for the Goldeneye shopping basket as well. They have fantastic staff etc … I’ve been a happy bunny for years.
Now I’ve had enough !
Every time I go to the checkout I’m grabbing my ankles !
The least Lord Sainsbury could do is grease up before shafting me
Their CEO was on TV recently saying their prices have only gone up about 2 %

Anyhoo enough of the 20% to 50% price increases and the fact that despite only needing a hand basket sized number of items I can never buy all the things I want as they’re always out of stock of something or discontinuing it …

They Can’t Even Spell !
Take a look at this, hands up who spots it first …

I know the visitors to this site are so intellectually discerning that they need no pointers but for the benefit of those whose first language may not be English ;)
Do not refridgerate

If Lord Sainsbury wants to make up for this insult to my notoriously fragile, and pedantic, intellectual sensibilities he can send a deluxe chocolate fudge cake that I was specially commissioned to buy for somebody yesterday but they didn’t have any left !
Still it was only for a birthday so, much like spelling, not important !

Rant Over
I feel better now

    Rod,

A recent gathering of the Coven brought this subject to light. The other Witches were concerned that the shelves had been low on stock although not yours truly…. the shops just wouldn’t dare :) and besides we are mostly concerned with raw ingredients rather than finished articles. First there was the rice shortage then the wheat and then the fuel rises leading to all the price hikes.

Grumbleth not my good friend… think of the large families out there on low incomes having to weather this almighty increase. And while we’re at it… you could have saved the day by whipping up a chocolate fudge cake in the kitchen at home… max brownie points to be had. We ourselves enjoyed a flourless Nigella chocolate extravaganza last night which would be well within your capabilities.

If you can undercut the £5 delivery charge from the supermarkets, the Coven accountant has calculated a handsome profit…. fringe benefits might include cups of tea served up by grateful housewives with whom you’re bound to be a hit. Added to that, if you can turn out chocolate fudge cakes with the RC brand… could be ‘hello John Lobb, goodbye TKMaxx’ … might mean driving a van though, would that dent your image? :)

don’t talk to me about rice - just paid £6+ for some this weekend.
Driving a delivery van for Sainsbury’s - would that be akin to being a getaway driver :)

Think of people on low incomes who don’t get family tax credits etc
What about young single people who live on their own ?

I’ll pass on chocolate cake thanks - the substiture one I got had 7,200 calories in it
When I looked at it I thought 450 calories, doesn’t sound much for a deleuxe Belgian truffle choccy cake - then I saw the rest - 450 calories per 1/16th slice !

    Rod,

Driving a delivery van for Sainsbury’s - would that be akin to being a getaway driver … yes but you could wear a Paul Gilbert poncho and do a bit of a Clint Eastwood with The Good, Bad and Ugly playing on loud speaker…. alternating with your gangster look, it could be a niche market :)

    Hi Rod,
    Great site.
However, before chastising Sainsbury’s for their (admittedly) poor spelling, you might want to check your spelling of the word “apparently” under the fake Fleming signature….
    Cheers,
    JP

    Hi JP
thanks for the comment and pleased you like the site, hope you’ll return to comment in the future.
I’m on record here as saying I don’t make spelling mistakes only typos :)
    Duly noted and changed.

On a related point, there are some deliberate mistakes on the site as I also write for search engines as well as human beings so popular misspellings, common parlance and Americanisms are dotted about as well
    Regards
    Rod
