Poetic Justice

I received a dose of poetic justice this weekend, all my own fault.
In future I must keep away from the internet at the weekend!

For some reason, I am OK during the week, but I seem to get itchy feet and get up to no good at weekends, Saturday afternoons in particular.
Anyway, running a few tools and doing a bit of spamming, link building etc - I got infected!

Some sort of bloody worm/trojan/virus etc!
I could not stop it playing music in the background. I would have binned the computer were it a year or more old but sadly it’s not. Messed around for ages before finally downloading something that seemed to sort it out.

Not a minute too soon as I was on the verge of throwing it in the back of the car and taking it to Craig on Tuesday and letting him wave has magic wand over it.

Anyway, all’s well that ends well and I promise to be a good little SEO from now on, white hat only, I’ve learnt my lesson ;)

Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive

    Hi Craig,
strange indeed, a continual loop, only way to stop it was to go off line or switch speakers off.
Could have been part of a DDOS I suppose, dragging a music file from someone’s site.

I was using FF, I always make sure I do when doing er…. umm.. that sort of thing!
    Cheers
