People Who Buy Books Are Honest
Book collectors tend to be very honest, hence the lack of so called “lost parcels” that so many sellers experience in other markets.
Some are so honest that they restore one’s faith in human nature !
When you get an email from someone that bought a book from you some time ago and starts something like:
I just got my credit card statement …
You naturally think “what’s happened” with a weary sigh.
Reading on … and I noticed there is no charge on it for the book
How many people would do that ? A real gentleman !
I was, and still am, amazed.
Further investigation showed that I had simply sent the book out without making any charge !
It did also make me wonder how many times I have done this before
So there you go; not all news is bad and some people will always surprise you
Cheers to book buyers everywhere

Rod,
Amazing, I thought all honest people were a thing of the past.
I hope you did not charge him for his honesty.

FF,
I think most of us are basically honest but we have a sliding scale, which makes us a little hypocritical.
My usual scenario for this principal is:
If you saw a little old lady drop £10 from her purse 99% of people who run after her and return it.
If you saw a big fat businessman in a 3 piece suit get out of a Bentley and drop £10 how many people would return that ?
Cheers
