Nothing Tastes as Good as Skinny Feels ~ Kate Moss

Nothing Tastes as Good as Skinny Feels
That’s what Kate Moss just said and she’s in hot water with the PC Brigade and the Excuse Yourself from Any Personal Responsibility Group
But what is the, albeit tenuous, connection between Kate Moss and I ?

With people claiming garbage like she’s advocating anorexia there will no doubt be pressure for an apology from fat hypocritical female journalists who all wished they weren’t fat themselves.
sexy Kate Moss advertAmusingly, the online paper I read the story in were hammering Kate Moss whilst running affiliate ads for ‘dramatic weight loss’ next to their article.

Anyway, we all know that 99.9% of people don’t actually want to be overweight, that it depresses them and that not only would their physical health improve hugely but also their mental health and feeling of self-worth would sky-rocket if they were a vintage size 10 . . .
So Kate was right Nothing Tastes as Good as Skinny Feels

Now the spooky bit.
I’ve been using Facebook recently for pretty much the first time and it’s thrown up all sorts of things - if you’ll pardon the expression.
One being an old friend from way back. We used to play the guitar and all mixed in a group of music enthusiasts.
He always had dreams of getting somewhere, whereas most of us just had fantasies about it, as it turns out the boy done good

Steven Crayn is his name and he, in far more recent times, wrote and performed a track called Another Cold Beer which was used not that long ago in a Rimmel advert featuring Kate Moss !
How cool is that ! Check out the video below.

Steven Crayn, or Harvey as he’ll ever be to me, also has another claim to fame - he was on X Factor well the Rimmel ad was played during an ad break in this seasons show - so that counts as being on X Factor as far as I’m concerned - about time they had somebody talented on

Anyway, there’s the connection, other than the obvious one of us both being slim and good-looking, between Kate Moss and Rod Collins.
A bit distant but “I Love it When a Blog Post Comes Together”

Must say I’m surpised this didn’t generate quite a lot of comments, It is a difficult subject and opinions are always varied. I think there is truth in it. No one wants to be overweight. This is a fact. It affects self confidence and often health. Obesity causes numerous diseases, I find this rather saddening since it is preventable. Of course on the opposite side the ongoing size zero debate is also a serious issue. Despite the media interest in this models like Kate Moss are incredibly slim and having observed some of the recent fashion weeks this isn’t going to change. You could argue girls entering the fashion industry are aware of this concept beforehand, Are they setting a bad examply for young girls? The obviously overweight ones are, yes. Many of these girls are very tall and it may be their nature. I think Kate Moss is blunt but her statement is truth!

Vesper, it is a difficult subject and a touchy one for many - lack of plain speaking, honesty and self-delusion seem to cloud the issue in my opinion.
I agree with what you say and it’s refreshing to hear it as there’s so much rubbish talked about the subject.
The fact is that just about everybody, men and women included, wants to be slim - there’s no point pretending otherwise.

I’m personally not bothered about how others choose to carry on or look the only time it annoys me is when people are hypocritical about weight issues or seek to blame everything and evrybody for their situation when it is in fact entirely their own fault.

thanks for the comment and welcome to the site.
Nothing does indeed taste as good as skinny feels - still rings true for me though I have to confess last Sunday morning saw me in a Macdonalds
    All the best
