Nightmare Weekend
Ok here’s the story. Went to look at one of my sites, Bookseller world, nothing there !
Domain name on auto redirect.
Managed to get hold of someone in America on Friday night, the account has not been renewed so it domain has expired etc.
Me: But it’s all auto renew, I have an account with you
Tech support: er… seems not
Me: OK then why no invoice or notification?
Tech support: We sent 4 emails according to my screen
Me: Never got them what was the address?
TS: rodneycl@aol.com
Me: That is not the address for my account, I have never even sent an email from that address
TS: er…..
Me: Never mind er.. let’s get this f*****g site live again!
TS: It will have to be Monday, accounts are shut, I’m only technical
Me: F**k me backwards!
TS: I understand you are upset sir but would you mind not swearing please
Me: I’ll do more than swear if the content is lost! Is it safe or have you deleted the pages?
TS: Er…..
Me: Tell you what, i’ll stop swearing if you stop saying er….
TS: Can I help you with anything else sir?
Me: Anything else, you’ve not helped with this yet!
TS: If you you like to call back on Monday between 8 and 5 mid western, eastern, longitudinal pacific daylight, cross the equator time!
Me: Jesus wept! just tell me what the time is there now!
TS: 12.24 - have a nice day!
Me: You must be joking, shove it up …. to a dead phone
Spoke to a nice lady today who assures me she can sort it out!

Lyn,
the lovely Krystal, as she is now known, has done exactly what she said, sorted it immediately!
I expected another 24 hours (best case scenario) whilst the DNS propogated but not when Krystal’s on the job!
After talking to her I had some dinner, then back online, all was sorted, as quick as that!
Not only working in fact but I had already made 0.55c
As to the charm, I think the English accent helps when talking to ladies from the Good Ole US of A
I think it fair to say that men as a species are, by and large, pretty much useless!
