Motorhead T Shirts ~ A Collection Spanning 28 Years !

Official Motorhead T- Shirts !
Hard to imagine a finer garment, count yourself lucky if you have one - count yourself even luckier if you have more than one
Washing day at La Casa Goldeneye . . .

How’s that for a washing line amigos ! Did you ever think it was remotely possible that a washing line could be awesome ?
Well this one’s beyond awesome !

Official Motorhead tour tshirts

Official Shirts Spanning Nearly 3 Decades \m/

The first one on the left is 28 years old, the far right (location wise not politically ironically) is the very latest from the No Sleep till Moscow Tour
Note also the legendary Motorhead Deutschland T Shirt keeping company with England and also Los Angeles !

There are more, of course, but one has to work within certain parameters, the main one here being an overload of awesomeness which could overwhelm some readers.
The other two being the width of a wide angle camera lens and the length of a washing line

At this point I feel I should come clean. Being internationally known as, amongst other less savoury names, as Honest Rod I feel I should point out that it wasn’t really washing day and that isn’t my washing line (I’ve never had a washing line in over 20 years of home ownership)
The whole thing’s stage managed - but just look at the trouble I go to in order to bring you such wondrous sights to behold, or mirabile visu as Neville and I would say ;)

Essential to this stunning production is my brother who has kept the ball rolling for many a year now and also Chris who kindly allowed me to use her washing line for the purposes of creating a photographic work-of-art.

Now I know you’re all jealous, how could you not be, but please don’t hate me dear reader !
I know I’ve got more than my fair share and there are people in the world who could never even hope to own one Motorhead t-shirt, I know it’s an excessive display of consumption and you all think it’s very showy of him carrying on like this, much akin to a gangster rapper on MTV’s cribs but what’s the point of having such a wondrous collection and not allowing the public to see it.

Is the National Gallery and The Louvre open to the public - of course they are !
If that’s not an awesome picture then I don’t know what is !

Never Surrender \m/

    Rod,

If you’ve got it flaunt it, say I. They should last you into old age regardless of any weight fluctuations as you seem to have every size possible except ubertent

As usual, Cid is succinct yet incisive. ;) Hope the alliteration isn’t OTT….comes from having a handle like Sisson.

    Neville,
they’re all pretty much the same size, it’s a strange camera angle - whilst the size may not have changed over the years I confess they have varied in snugness of fit :)

    Neville,

I’m having difficulty (putting it mildly) marketing Rod as mature beefcake a company worth investing in…. this monochrome display of obsessional Motorhead t-shirt collecting, not to mention the rental of a kind neighbour’s washing line in order to demonstrate, isn’t going to help I fear. Still, I’ve seen far worse hanging from a washing line (and a great deal better like my collection of victorian ’smalls’ and other rarefied articles of carefully sourced eccentric attire…. over the garden wall as dear Peter Gabriel once said :) )

    Cid,
It’s a good job we can’t see the clothes posts in this shot as he probably has his Motorhead codpieces, (with heavy metal linings and inscribed ‘Snake Bite Love’,) sheathing the tops; what’s more they probably have attachment chains as opposed to the regular thongs.:)
I have a facsimile copy of Harrod’s 1895 catalogue which is generously illustrated so I can well imagine your washing line. At least their smalls lasted well and had ’staying’ power!

    Neville,

A copy of Harrod’s Smalls catalogue 1895….. would it be too late to place an order for the forthcoming spring? :)

What a shock to the system for that trusting neighbour who only popped out for a moment, to find on her return that the garden is littered with Rod’s 28 year old recreational codpieces. We should give thanks Neville, that we are not on his bicycle flight path as he negotiates the Shire’s historical monuments clad in lycra …. the creepy sound of clanking chains, not necessarily belonging to the bike :)
