Miss Grimsby 2007
The search is on for a Grimsby girl to represent the town in the 2007 Miss England competition leading eventually to Miss World !
Update 15th May - winner announced click here for our latest news
Updated 1st May
It’s about time we promoted the local girls a bit more, so in that spirit here are Grimsby Babes who made the finals.
The Hot Chicks who made it through to the finals and are up for public vote on the Miss England website are:
Kerrie Croft Bednarski
Jade Clay
Jade Dundridge
Kelly Aitken
Megan Clark
Faye Abbott
Jodie Hartley
Fiona Harrison
Samantha Sarson
Samantha Bloomfield
You’re all no doubt waiting with baited breath to hear who Goldeneye is throwing his weight behind, for what that’s worth !
Well, as a Freeman of the Borough of Great Grimsby and being noted throughout internet search circles as a Hot Chick specialist it’s got to be worth something ? Well maybe not
Anyhoo, on first glance at the picture below the Goldeneye vote went to …….. Kerry Croft-Bednarski
7th from the left, or to put it another way for those of a non-ambidextrous nature, 2nd in from the right

The Miss Grimsby Contestants 2007
In the interests of accuracy and a desire not to let our readers down with ill researched articles we did take a little look at Kerry Croft-Bednarski. She’s a honey, obviously, and, unsurprisingly, something of a model already and clearly on the road to glamorous success.
With that in mind more picture scanning ensued and the girl for Grimsby is ………. Megan Clark

Megan Clark
Winner of the GY Goldeneye Miss England Hot Chick Award 2007
If you want to vote for any of the girls go to the Miss England website and make your vote count
We wish all the girls equally the very best of luck in the 2007 Miss England Beauty Contest and, remember, if Megan Clark wins - you heard it here first
Jade Clay
Samantha Sarson
Samantha Bloomfield
Jade Dundridge
Kelly Aitken
The five girls above will now go through to the final round of judging. Needless to say we shall bring you news as it happens.
Good luck to all the girls !

Rod,
Great to see the lovely ladies of Grimsby getting a mention. Makes a welcome change from reading about stabbings, arsonists and tv licence dodgers in the local rag.
Good luck girls!
ps If any of your readers are as interested in my points of view as I am then they can read more of my comments every night in the Grimsby ASBO Gazette.

Tim
thanks for taking the time out to post, I know your letter writing schedule means time is short for you.
I am afraid I no longer take The Asbo Gazette (aka The Grimsby Evening Telegraph) I prefer to watch Crime Watch instead, it’s cheaper.
Hope your letters continue to get published
Happy Woffling

This reminds me of a much talked about press story in 1980 (I think) when a lucky young lady won the Miss Cleethorpes title by being the only entrant in the competition, she simply had to turn up to collect the sash etc. Nice to see Miss Grimsby being so well contested, good luck to you all, I think you are all winners!!

Dino,
This year, despite fierce competition from the local oap ladies trampoline club and a bumble bee, the Witches clinched second place in the Ms Aerodynamic pageant, and entry into the hotly contested Ms Otherworldly. The winning bee thanked the Corset Society for their support and left the rest of us wondering why we didn’t think of that!

WoE,
We’re you responsible for any of the early Pink Floyd and Hawkwind stuff? Did you write ‘Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds’?-I think we should be told.

a great story and well remembered. 1980 ! seems like a lifetime ago.
It was around that time that the national chain Halfords ran a competition with 5 Ford XR3is as the main prizes - only 3 people entered it !

LB,
We had our fair share of hits in the late Jurassic, in fact we invented rock and were responsible for the ‘Raquel Welsh’ fur bikini look. The wheel took a little more thinking about, subsequently it’s all been downhill from then on ….

Hi Peter
I think you’re right. I’m sure there would be plenty of interest if properly promoted.
If I was half as old and twice as good looking I’d think about entering myself
Regards

Rod (Mr Cute Cuticles 2007)
If you were twice the age, possessing a quarter good looks, you’d be a dead cert. That said Peter might be able to give you a run for your money.

Jade Dundridge - Finalist
For those who have not seen the all the pictures, this is JD who was kind enough to leave the comment above, hope she doesn’t mind the picture.
It’s easy to see why JD did so well with the public vote, we wish her well in the finals and thank her, and the other girls, for helping to bring some lightness and fun to this otherwise gloomy world.
Goldeneye Verdict:
Go JD !

Hi Samantha
thanks for taking the time to leave a comment, greatly appreciated.
Congratulations on getting through to the final 5 and best of luck with the finals. I keep checking the Miss England website every day waiting for the result.
It’s great you entered into the spirit of the competition and it is certainly popular with the public judging by the number of visitors this page gets.
Thanks again for doing something positive, fun and beneficial for the area Samantha and very best of luck.
For those who have not seen the papers or the Miss England site, here is the lovely Sam Bloomfield.

Hi,
I’ve just come across this website! It is nice that you have taken an interest in the Miss Grimsby competition, as there wasn’t much advertsing done. The only people who knew that you had to vote were the contestants who then told family and friends. Although it was advertised in the paper to vote, but only three days before the voting lines closed. I think it should of been the judges descision all the way through the competition. But I suppose that is how they make their money.
Thank you for the nice compliments about me. Well you know, I can be a honey he he…
Congratulations to Jade Dundridge who is the winner!
Love Kerrie x

Hi Kerrie
thanks for the comment, very nice of you to take the time.
I agree with you about lack of promotion, it should have been all over the town, in the papers etc - I cannot understand why not ?
A greater amount of publicity would help not only the town but also those who entered. All the girls could have had some promotion along the way rather than just the eventual winner.
Very nice of you to wish JD the best Kerrie.
For those reading this you can check out Kerrie’s website by clicking on her name on her comment.
Thanks again for taking the time Kerrie and very best of luck with the career, I hope it bears fruit
All the best
Rod
PS: to our regular SEM guys, I know I always delete outbound links in comments but Kerrie is a special case so we’re happy to promote the site.
