Hi I also just this week bought myself a secondhand detector, live in the cleethorpes area, been on the beach twice to test, found a few coins modern ones. I have transport and I am looking for any sites to detect on, others who need lifts no problem steven.hullett@btopenworld.com if anyone is intrested

I cant really speake for horncastle but around here it can only be described as hopless, all i can say is go knocking on doors, they can only say yes or no, there are a few farmers out there that will say yes…

Hello Chris - After realising that I have no hand to eye co-ordination I have given up golf so would like to have a crack at metal detecting to keep fit and out and about. I am passionate about history and understand the role the detectorist must play in preserving the record for future generations. What is the landowner/detectorist situation like around Horncastle area or would it be best to join clubs/travel?

yes ive got some land coming up but, as ive told people in the past im happy to take you on but on one condition you must be activly seeking land for yourself, i only take people on my test fields which where heavly night soiled there are finds to be had but not much of any age but you never know….

Ive had Ace 150 since end of last year, and also looking for land and permissions to detect on.

hi everybody ive just purchased a Garrett Ace 250,im looking for somebody in the grimsby area to go with,I have a car so transport will be no problem.

i cant remember the name of the farmer but he lived and farmed on scallow lane in messingham, Norman Teather EX of Tandy in grimsby he used to detect the land around messingham and holton le moor he used to live in keelby but not sure if he still does…
