Mark actually looks very cool in the trench coat and this 60's inspired look. The white socks turn ups and loafers show a real aficinado of 60's inspired fashion. Very Jean Paul Belmondo cool not a Michael Jackson inspired look.

Rod,

We hear what you say and must agree. Don't worry though, just swap cultures in the sartorial sense. Try to avoid the Rain Forest tribal gear at this stage, especially when cycling :) but other than that be creative and give the kaftan a go. We witches love robes of all kinds, in fact our latest batch of vintage Japanese silks have arrived and we were thrilled with the contents. Rest assured we don't see you in full kimono and certainly not with socks and sandals :)

It saddens us to read that the suit you most desire is out of financial reach.... you should re-assess your bank balance and make savings elsewhere in order to save up for it. Give up smoking for good and buying expensive DVDs for starters. Somewhere an elegant hand made suit has your name on it...... seems a shame to waste a finely honed physique like yours on a pair of tracky bottoms and a hoodie :)

Annie,
Lady Dedlock, of “Bleak House,” said it best:
I am bored with the weather.
I am bored with my life.
I am bored with myself

Who said Dickens wasn't relevant today !!
That's me to a T sometimes !

DC does indeed look smart, the £3,000 suit is exactly a setback in the sartorial stakes :)
There's much in what you say - perhaps the hair shirt route is one best avoided !
Best

I am with you on this one. Young Mr. Ronson doesn't look like the best dressed. He is hip, to be sure, but I don't see the classiness I would want in a Best Dressed Gent.

Alas, poor Urick..er...Rod. Spring stirs things up, and one must acknowledge that winter, though a necessary season, is hard on the emotional health and well-being. Lady Dedlock, of "Bleak House," said it best: I am bored with the weather. I am bored with my life. I am bored with myself. Dressing one's age doesn't mean that you must begin wearing tea stained shirts, and pants that won't close. You just lose some of the silly items that youth is wont to wear. Our beloved DC dresses his age, but still manages to look quite wonderful. I wouldn't opt for the monk's frock; I hear the itchy fabric is not conducive to one's comfort.
