pleased I managed to elicit a wry smile - it’s done its job but I’m even happier you’ve found Sabaton !

it’s even worse than that - Courier Firms !
Self-employed people buying a franchise and delivering when they want !
I once wiated an age for two parcels of books eventually an old Fiesta turned up one evening with one of the boxes.

“I’ll be back in 20 minutes mate - can only get one at a time in the car”

He was a milkman and did this as an extra job - £2ks worth of books had been in his kitchen for nearly a week !

they queue at the Sorting Office on a Staurday morning - I went there once myself there was a line of people stretching across the car park - a nightmare.

Its going to get worse - they’re replaceing all the 10mph bikes with 2mph electric trolleys - simple equation there eh?

I think your best ploy will be to say something like…”I WILL NOT BE IN ON TUESDAY SO DO NOT DELIVER THEN!!!” That way you will only need to stay in on Tuesday.
