Lord Byron was a Yeti !
They say that Ignorance is Bliss - I think I agree as information only seems to confuse me nowadays.
Twas for this reason that I gave up taking either a national or local newspaper - the perspicacity of this decision was emboldened after I strayed into reading them online
Firstly I was confronted with a headline in The Sun, firstly on reading it appeared to be less breaki through news and more universally acknowledged fact and secondly perhaps not the most up to date story !
The headline screamed:
Lord Byron’s life of bling, booze and groupie sex
Quite why The Sun decided this 150 year old news was a scoop worthy of their Home Page or indeed quite how they stretched the article to similies with premiership footballers and the like I’m not sure !.
Anyway if they can connect Lord Byron to Pete Doherty and say if he lived today women would throw their thongs at him a la Tom Jones and make a story of it then why can’t I link it to the other shocker the carried and say
Lord Byron was Bigfoot !
This was the other stunner they’ve actually found a Yeti and it’s being kept in a chest freezer.
Obviously a hoax !
Well … for some reason I did not dismiss it, quite why is potentially worrying.
As there are some ’serious’ Bigfoot hunters involved and backing the story they’ll ruin their credibility if it’s simply a hoax.
They are claiming to be awaiting DNA and interestingly last month some hair was found at a sighting and was tested by scientists and found to:
Belong to no known living mammal !
I must stop reading the papers and read a good book instead

The DNA has been dismissed as 96% certain that it is from an opossum, a marsupial the size of a housecat.
96% is kind of an odd number for me. Whenever people talk about DNA testing, it’s seen as a 99% or 100% test, so quite how they get 96% is curious. Who is to say that the Bigfoot isn’t a remote descendant of the opossum line?

thanks for that, I’ve not looked into it beyond the newspaper article but was struck because I did not dismiss the story out-of-hand !
I believe there may be a press conference this week.
The results you mention are strange, as you say if it comes fro a known creature then presumably they can say so categorically !
