Thanks Chris, I'll get my dad to come along with me next time with his detector. Do you have any more bunker locations available?

Hey Chris, thanks for getting back to me. I don't want to sound like a pest but........ I took my map and my Garmin etrex gps to the grid you gave but couldn't find anything? Is it a similar bunker to the other one in Hendale were you can access the chamber etc or is it just the site of one, but has now had all trace removed?

Once again I do apologise but this stuff really interest me.

Cheers Steve

Chris Keyworth gave these co-ordinates TA 1160 0680 as an Auxiliary hide but I went there today and its in a field not in a wooded area and I couldn't find any sign of a bunker, has anyone else managed to locate it?

I've visited one in Hendale which is on the south side and fairly easy to find, I wasn't aware that there were 2 more (I assume one of them was Great Limber Patrol?) I'd be interested in visiting the other 2.

I've visited the one at Elsham which has a 2 chambers linked by a passageway, one of the chambers has collapsed being constructed from corrogated rust sheets, the other chamber is built of prefabbed concrete like the Hendale one and ones further north that stretch to Barton, they've stood the test of time very well. The northern ones have a single entrance and are rather like an underground air raid shelter - I guess they would have been stores or equipment hides?
