Katie Price’s New Book Sapphire Review ~ Jordan & Seals !

Your host’s duties are many and varied but I still manage to keep one eye on the literary scene and despite my current hectic day trip schedule I thankfully didn’t miss the launch of the new literary opus by Katie Price aka Jordan
I’ve had to fit looking at her promo pics into my heavy and extremely dangerous schedule - why yesterday I risked life and limb for you dear reader !

Regulars will recall only too well that one of my many sobriquets is Tintin - Ace Reporter !
Katie Price Jordan in basque and high heelsRemember when you oohed and aahed at my bravery in reporting
The Lincolnshire Floods or the selfless heroism that saw me reporting
live during an earthquake wearing only Bart Simpson pyjamas for protection !

The cynics amongst you, and I hope that’s pretty much all of you ;) , may say . . .
Was it likely you’d drown or fall into an earthquake created abyss
Well that’s as may be, but you can’t doubt the danger I faced yesterday on a day trip following the East Coast in Lincolnshire !

When Are the Seals at Donna Nook
Now that’s a very good question and one you’d be well advised to ask yourself - or ask the interweb - before setting off !
Thankfully my trip was impromptu simply because I was in the area but seeing the sign to the Donna Nook and the Seals I thought I’d better get you a picture - such is my dedication to you I pursued my walk on the beach despite this warning signWhen Are the Seals at Donna Nook

I’d enjoyed great historical success in the previous few hours and was on a high thinking of lovely baby seals and my new camera, but it wasn’t to be - I did see a hare on the beach though ! That’s rummy thought I - I’ll capture it on film thought I next - Then the hare thought; I’ll run off now whilst that idiot is still thinking and changing camera lenses :(

So . . . When Are the Seals at Donna Nook
It looks like they all turn up around November - December time to have their pups - I may return, but then again I may well not.

If this has left you disappointed then you can always buy a copy of Katie Price’s latest bust seller Sapphire.
As many of you have strong literary interests I thought I ought to mark the launch and also include a picture of the author herself at the book’s launch and signing session.

The fact she was there in person at a book signing session dispelled those naysayers who say she can’t write ;)

Sadly, I’ll not be buying a copy - I suspect it’ll be too racy for me and simply give me ideas best remembered rather than pursued.
I was in Lincoln today looking for books on medieval church architecture and symbolism - far more suited to a man of my advancing years methinks !

    Rod,
Were you searching for baby seals when, in actuality, the area is home ground for Seals, those crack military squads that carry out all sorts of risky manuevers? That might explain the signage warning of military ordinance on the ground.

    Annie,
    nice play on words :)
It’s actually a bombing range for the Royal Air Force - they fly by as and when the mood takes them I suppose and drop bombs, fire missiles etc at suitable targets - no doubt I qualify as a suitable target but being
The Man They Couldn’t Hang - I knew no danger :)
    Cheers

    Rod,
Just fired a few off at a hare using the 100-400 and the mark two’s new auto tracking system. Pretty pleased with the results.

    LB,
I recently took pictures of an old cannon, a pigeon and an Aston Martin - life’s on the up :)
