Jennifer Garner Dress Oscars 2008

Who looked the most stunning at the Oscar Film Award Bash ?
My vote goes to Jennifer Garner

The actress, best know for her role in the TV series alias, stole the show in my humble opinion.
Presumably she wasn’t there to pick up an award - yes I bought the film she starred in - Elektra !
She was wearing a stunning strapless dress by Oscar de la Renta.
Thankfully there was no repaet of 2 years ago when she walked on stage to present an award and tripped on her dress. To her great credite she kept her cool, walked up to the microphone and said ‘I do all my own stunts’

Whilst looking through the pictures to select who I thought was best turned out I was staggered just how many people get it wrong on such a night.
Or indeed not so much ‘get it wrong’ but ‘get it dull’
There were women there that I could have dressed better with a budget of £100 - never mind stylists and a budget of £1,000s.
Surely some of them must look in the mirror before going out and think ‘is this really a good idea’

I was going to do the most debonair man as well but presumed that more people would be interested in knowing what dress Jennifer Garner wore.
Presumably George Clooney took the smartest man award, I think George intercepted my invitation in order to avoid being upstaged.

That makes me think - I’m surprised I’ve never been asked to escort a starlet along the red carpet :)

    Rod,

We cannot argue with any of that… men everywhere would do well to follow your lead in the wardrobe department.

    Dear Rod,

The Witches feel that we might have harangued you a little too much today… are your broad shoulders wounded, is there still bounce in your step? For a penance we shall make for you a low fat delight when next we meet and talk about the weather and all things light :)

    WoE

Note to self… stop beating up hopeless helpless bachelors :)

What can I say? Jennifer Garner is hot AND seems to be a sensible, down-to-earth gal. She ranks high In my book of women with whom I would most like to meet and have dinner. George did take top honors for the suave, class act of the evening.

    Rod and Annie

Speaking of George, we have just hired Michael Clayton for the evenings entertainment… we’ll report back later.

Absolutely not - l always enjoy it. I like to hear what people think of me, my attitude, personna and situation. I offer as evidence for this the way I invite it and leave myself open to it.

We got no closer to finding me a partner though - or did we conclude it was impossible :)
I knew the George Clooney thing would set you off - your shameless :)

I got the same impression of her by reading a little as I wrote this post - nice to see someone in her position who seems both grounded and attractive with being vacuous - just a minute ..
She could be a candidate for the future Mrs Goldeneye
    Regards

You’ll have to knock out her husband, Ben Afflack first. I wondered when I saw her on the Red Carpet at the Oscars why she looked a bit disconcenrted. She was groped and attacked by a “fan” prior to her photo opp. A curse of these besotted lunatics. WoE, can you put a spell on this guy?

    Annie,

We’ve never thought of Rod as a besotted lunatic but there lies the problem… if only he was. If we’re going to find him a mate he’s been instructed not to mention personal wealth, excess weight etc on the first date. As for groping, it can’t be him… by the time he’s calculated the advantages and disadvantages, the woman in question would have long since tottered off towards other more spontaneous and less demanding gropers :)

    WoE,
That last one is about the best thing I have read by you, you know him better than I do!
