Is it Right that Singers Mime on Stage ?

With Britney Spears making the headlines after appearing on The X Factor , for all the wrong reasons, miming on stage is once again a topic of conversation.
Is it right that singers or performers mime on stage ?

Personally I don’t have a problem with it - providing - it is clear they are doing so !
It’s the deception that I object to, the use of phrases such as ‘live performance’ which is clearly meant to mislead the audience into thinking the singers are singing and the band playing !

It is particularly ironic in this case - I mean - fancy not actually singing when you know it’s, supposedly anyway, a talent contest you’re actually appearing on - surely it’s asking for trouble ?

I believe things should be as they appear to be or are portrayed to be.
That is not to say that everybody and everything should be perfect just that things are what they are meant to be and people say and do the things they espouse.
We’ve covered deceptive practise before on TV spookily including the same show, also how prophetic did the Gordon Ramsay Hypocrite post turn out to be ?

What about airbrushing models it’s all in the same vein - misleading the public something which the press and newspapers have made into an art form !.

The danger with all this deception is nobody will take anything as real, people will always assume that they are having their leg taken up.

Granted, it’s not the most important thing in the world but it’s just another example of how things are generally degenerating, dumbing down and sliding into a nadir in what seems like a race to find the lowest common denominator !

Get off the stage! If they cant do it live, they can’t do it and they don’t deserve the fame and fortune that they have.

    Simple as that!

    here, here !
As you say what is the point - if she’s miming it’s nothing but a dance routine - which according to the papers was pretty poor as well.

There are plenty out there tht can do it so why not give them a chance

It’s a bloody con-next thing you know we’ll have books published by chefs who haven’t actually written them. God forbid, hey Gordon? Still, at least he’ll have more time on his hands now

    another good point !
    Yet another con job !
I suspect for Gordon Ramsay nothing will quite be what it was before both domestically, image wise and business wise.

Serves him right - The Bloody Connaught for god’s sake ! I mean - who’d possibly recognise him there

Never go into business with the father-in-law. Especially if he’s the one with the money, or if you do then keep your trousers on.
