Is April Fools Day a Thing of the Past
It’s April the first, April Fools’ Day but has it changed with time ?
I seem to recall it as quite a thing but today …
I myself think it’s a bit crass and predictable. I did think about posting something to see if I could catch people out. Whilst I thought it a bit too obvious and predictable and also considered it may be the expected thing to do.
Either way there does not seem to be the interest there once was, I’ve seen no obvious hoax attempts in the National Newspapers online this morning.
Maybe it’s simply a sign of modern times as more and more tradition goes out-of-the-window.
Is it a bad thing ?
Well, how funny is somebody telling you your shoelace is undone when it isn’t ?
That’s the most popular ‘trick’ on this day apparently.
Instead of reading the news I seem to be getting into predicting the news.
I was thinking yesterday about the dangers of excessive cell phone use, I know it’s been declared safe but I thought, why do I get a headache ?

I fancied a cruise around Lincolnshire but the waterways are not up to luxury cruise ships I’m told.

This is a really good one. I’ve never had a reminder in 20 years of home ownership.
I have no direct debits etc so every bill has to come through the post.
Given the publicity about lost mail etc, this clearly means that the PO have never lost a single bill sent to me, a great record or Sod’s Law !
I am also minded of the number of times cheques sent to me have been ‘lost in the post’ yet every cheque I have ever sent has arrived !
