In-between Size Jeans ~ Great News for Women
This should hardly be amazing news as it’s always seemed like a ‘no-brainer’ to me but at last a clothes retailer is going to market reasonably priced jeans in half sizes !
Women can now breathe a sigh of relief and do so comfortably as now your jeans need not restrict the function of breathing nor be in danger of falling down during a sharp intake of breath !
Supermarket chain Asda has introduced the new range with intermediate sizes such as 15, 13 and 11 - the size 11s being modelled in the picture on the left.
It seems so blindingly obvious really I cannot understand why the idea is such big news.
I know that Diesel for example graduate in increments of 1 inch which makes for a perfect fit rather than standard sizes for women and 2 inch jumps for men. These however cost about £150 a pair whereas the George range in Asdas will be about £15 a pair - far more accessible for most.
It will be interesting to see if there are any Vanity Sizing issues with them as I’ve seen some crazy sizing with Asda clothing.
Time will tell but one thing I do feel sure of is that they will be a great success and that the idea will spread.
The spread will be primarily in jeans rather than clothes in general I suspect.
I should make a huge difference for those looking for skinny jeans or a tighter fit.
The search for the perfect fit jeans just got easier !
If you try any on or buy a pair and see this leave a comment and let us know what you think.
Or indeed if you know of any other outlets or designers who do the same share it here with others
Cheers

Not sure on how new your facts are here. Jeans have been going up in 1inch sizing for a while. Rather than the standard size 10 12 14. Most places are doing them in the 28, 29, 30, 31 etc and leg length also.

) and they are incremented in inches.
thanks for that, I have seen what you say indeed I wear Diesel jeans (mens
Most of the normal high street stuff I see though is still in traditional sizing for women and 2 inch jumps for men.
I’ve certainly never see clothes actually sized, 9, 11, 13, 15 etc ?
Thankfully I can still get into size 10s so I don’t need to worry
But it is reassuring to know I can resort to 11s if I continue to get fatter

Rod,
We don’t know any other man who can say they have investigated the women’s jean market in such depth. Our suggestion would be for everyone to carry a miniature tape measure to keep track of the inches….. don’t care what it says on the label, will it fit?
Think it might be a bit ambitious for the Witches to go for Rear of the Year, in fact we almost certainly wouldn’t win Rear of the Coven either
so being the realists we are, we’re aiming for Rear of the Coven Home Office While No One Else Is In award

I like to keep my hand in

I’m not in favour of women carrying tape measures

I hope you are right about making size 11 more available.
I don’t want to shop in JR section as their 11 doesn’t seem to fall between a womens 10 and 12.
I really need an 11 (or to lose this added 10 lbs. to get me back to my size 10 wardrobe.
After the holidays.
To buy the right length in inches - do I need to buy at a dillards/macys rather than a walmart?
Do any of the less expensive stores carry lengths? Just because my tummy has grown doesn’t mean my legs have.
I will bring a tape measure from now on. Great idea! (Won’t use it on appendages, promise)

oh yay! When I was a size 14 but still convinced I was a size 12, a size 13 would have been a saviour!! shame they’re not exactly the best cut jeans…

Saira,
the idea seems to make perfect sense and I wonder how they are going in terms of sales - were they a success or failure ?
shame they’re not exactly the best cut jeans…
I’m with you there Saira, I wouldn’t buy Asda jeans myself but then again I have the luxury of only having to clothe myself - if I had to re-trouser an entire family I expect I’d be nearer Asda than Armani

Does anyone know of any company that sells inbetween size clothing, I am inbetween a 14 and 16. So 15 would be great. When I was a teenager there was a great shop on the High Street that used to do this.
HELP!!!
