Ibanez RGT 42DX Guitar Review
Ibanez RGT 42DX Guitar Review
More information about this classic rock guitar
Already a classic amongst rock guitarist and fans of shred it offers a very viable alternative to the more expensive guitars in the Ibanez range.

A Shredders Delight - Alison Waite and Axe
It has a mahogany body, 24 fret very fast neck with a rosewood fingerboard with jumbo frets and a locking tremolo system.
It’s powered by IBZ infinity pickups which provide plenty of gain and sustain.
The pickups are great and do a good job but here’s a suggestion …
Why not change them for DiMarzios ?
The upgrade will make quite a difference and get you closer to the sound of the signature models costing a great deal more - just an idea !
If you’re looking to buy one then the cheapest models can be found in online music stores. Personally speaking though, we would always recommend playing the instrument you intend to buy. This maker is extremely consistent with high levels of quality but all guitars are different.
Check out your nearest stockist they may well come up with the best price.
If you are looking to buy a used or secondhand one try and go for the mahogany bodied version, at one point they made some from ash which lack some of the tonal quality and sustain.
Summing up then, a great buy and coming from a manufacturer that we use ourselves and who I believe are making the best rock guitars in the world today !
Big claim I know. Whilst this may not quite fall into that category it is the best you can do if you are looking the emulate the likes of Steve Vai, Paul Gilbert and Joe Satriani on a more reasonable budget representing quality and superb value for money.
