Ian Fleming Signature Autograph

We have an example of an absolutely 100% genuine Ian Fleming signature. It is in a first edition of Thunderball and was signed at a branch of WH Smiths in Waterloo station, London.

We have a much improved article with example s of every book signed which can be found here

The author was actually doing a rare public book signing. Ian Fleming’s autograph, whilst not hugely rare, is uncommon. Given the collectability of the 007 James Bond books in general it is hardly surprising that his signature adds a considerable premium to the value and signed first editions are generally regarded as rare books books.

So for those wondering how to identify a signed copy as genuine or looking to compare theirs to see if they look the same here is an example.

For further reference there are also two other pages on this site which may be of interest though this time concerning quite the reverse - links below

    HI Rod,
I found your site interesting. And even more interesting I seem to have the 1st Print Thunderball land on my desk with the exact same signature of Ian fleming to blank front free end paper that you wrote on 25th Dec 2006 that a copy was on ebay. I suspect it is the same book. Did you think it might be a fake or for real? interested to hear. Best, KG
