Here’s an interesting thing……. this week disaster struck the Coven laptop department, yes one of the sisterhood had been over stretching the cable which finally gave up and parted company with the mother ship. ‘Do not touch that thing’, we cried, ‘or you could short circuit the laptop altogether’…. well we didn’t exactly think of that all by ourselves but it did seem like a good argument so we went along with it So folks off we went to a well known national PC shop who told us it would cost around £60 upwards to replace this unit. We didn’t buy it, we came home and researched online until we found one for £17, an exact replica which arrived in the post this morning 24 hours after we placed the order.

p.s. we could do a review of last night’s Women doing a Man’s Job thing if you like? A better review might be in the pipeline after we see the show about the WI and their campaign to legalise brothels in this country, which is due to air this weekend…. it’s not all scones and Jerusalem then?

Whilst on the subject of the famed kitchen garden, we take it everyone’s coriander plants are flowering and producing the first signs of seed heads. This is good news since LB told us all ages ago that these will make for a fine quality spice. Our butternut squash are at the same stage as yours Rod so looks like we’ll have to wait a while longer for the flowers. It’s exciting stuff this kitchen gardening.
