If you’re reading this then clearly you have nothing better to do so I’ll assume you lack the skills and wherewithal required to prepare said vegetables to my exacting gourmet standards.
In light of this, I have simplified the whole process for you, though not for myself you understand

Post Scriptum
Notice how he’s spammed me with his website address on the picture !
You should visit it and read something of quality for a change !
Post Post Scriptum
I seem to have suffered a sudden attack of latin during the writing of this which is better than a sudden attack of poisonous monkeys I suppose but not as nice as a sudden attack from Ashley Lawrence would be !
Anyway, I’ll make sure I take my anti-latin tablets tomorrow - just as well because that’s the full extent of my latin repertoire anyway.
I’d better stop now before they cart me away …

Rod,
I could smell the stitch up from Lincoln!

ps I would mention the forthcoming recipe for pickled beetroot on my websites but that would be spamming and you know how I hate that.

Rod,
Fabulous Beetroot, It must be very satisfying knowing that you can grow such spectacular veg from a small seed. Are you going to be selling it, for a small profit, of course, Or will your friends and family be seeing it in their sacks at Christmas?

If I factored in my time etc I would imagine each single piece of veg would cost about £50 - not the most cost effective thing I’ve done but certainly one of the most satisfying.
I shall be having a load of roasted med’ veg tonight - lovely

LB,
It appears that you only get to try the pickled variety, perhaps you need to tell RC that it all needs pickling, with his gardening knowledge, he will never realise

I’m too busy pickling my liver for posterity to worry about pickling vegetable
I have an assistant who takes care of these more basic culinary things freeing me up to concentrate on the more complicated aspects of life !
The roasted veg was delicious, finished it less than 10 mins ago:
Loads of extra virgin olive oil, sea salt and black pepper
3 courgettes
2 leeks
12 cherry tomatoes
1 plum tomato
Handful of french green beans
1 fennel bulb
served with wild mushroom and garlic couscous.
mmmmmmmmmm
Best

Rod,
A long way to go yet, then.
You must have at least 12 more years to enjoy drinking and smoking!

Femme Fatale,
He’ll realise alright. I’ll put my mortgage on betting that he counted the beetroots before giving them to me and if he didn’t he’ll refer back to the photo!

I can guarantee he will have to refer to the photo with his short term memory.
