Honda Earth Formula 1 Car Ridiculous
Yesterday I saw one of the most ridiculous promotional ideas ever.
Bloody incredulous
Honda unveiled the new livery for their 2007 Formula One racing car. Instead of the usual big main corporate sponsor and lots of smaller ones the whole thing is painted like the planet earth
Why you ask ? Well…….. it’s to promote green environmental issues !!!!!!!
I understand that the Honda motor car company have PR interest in this as cars become ever more politically unpopular and they wish to be seen to be as green as possible.
The two biggest problems with cars is their use of fossil fuel and used tyres which are non-biodegradable.
Enter stage left the PR people:
We need to tackle this situation, show these tree huggers we care and we’re doing something about it
How do we promote it - any ideas ?
Yes, why don’t we use our F1 car that does at best 4 miles to the gallon and uses 8 sets of tyres a day !
Absolutely bloody unbelievable !
That also does not take into account all the team which flies all over the world, the lorries that carry a virtual factory across the globe, the executives and drivers in their private jets etc etc etc

2007 Formula One racing
I for one am a fan of Formula One , but I can not see what Honda are trying to say or prove, though I can see a way for them to save millions and
be very environmentally friendly andpromote green environmental issues.
Why not bury the car on a landfill site for say twenty to thirty years, dig it up, and then see just how biodegradable it really is, after all if its that good the remains of it should fit in a Baked Bean Can !
