You have to look at the worst case scenario every time! e.g. an activity using paper and scissors would rate highly because of the risk of injury through scissors! I was even told by one head that it should be pointed out in said assessment that a FLOATING exhibit (the clue is in the name) is actually on water and carries a high risk of a child falling in and drowning!..... It's not heath and safety gone mad, It's the blame claim culture we reside in these days I am sorry to say! If there were less greedy people around there would be less need for such stringent health and safety regulations. As it many save them money but make people unhappy so they need an excuse so unfortunately its health and safety they blame. We live in a nanny state now, and even as a member of the younger generation, I can see that they've gone too far. Our school now does less than one school trip a year, whereas there used to be at least 6.. That just says it all for me. I completely agree.
