Has the World Gone Mad ~ Basil Brush Arrested
In searching for inspiration and something to blog about the news sites and national online papers just left me wondering what the hell is going on in the world.
The whole thing was capped when I saw that the police are investigating Basil Brush 
For those overseas basil Brush is a fox puppet children’s TV presenter, around in my youth and seemingly resurrected for more modern times

Yes folks that shady character above is being ‘probed’ by the police for racism !
It seems he appeared with a woman in a sketch who was dressed as a gypsy, telling fortunes and selling heather. This is now deemed as racist and there is an official police investigation.
Perhaps I should report the gypsy who accosts me every time I go to town with offers of lucky heather and the opportunity to have my palm read with fostering and nurturing an image that may lead to racism
An SAS soldier lost his life due to equipment shortages. What high tech and expensive equipment - a £50 radio which we cannot afford it seems!

You can educate children in third world countries and give them at least some chance. A teacher is expensive and beyond the western world’s finances - I saw one such woman teaching and giving hope - she costs £37 a month !!!!!!
The charity was begging for the money to pay her.

The US government is spending $7.5 million per hour on the war whilst the prisoners in Guantanamo Bay and jails receive better health care than everyday American citizens without private insurance.

I often fail to understand things or grasp the logic, or as it see it the lack of logic, in many things today - possibly I’m out-of-touch or in my own world
After what I’ve seen today I doubt it …

reminds me of a couple of months ago when a teenage girl put a message on her MySpace or Bebo page about her party for her friends - 100s of people read it - turned up and trashed the entire luxury detached house !!

Somewhere in a parallel universe, there is a book shop where a few people gather and they are the ones who make global policy after a decent amount of discussion and tea and a bun. It’s all so simple.

this is what really amazes me - some of today’s issues appear so simple and straight forward.
Also, when you get a group of people together they generally agree on most things.
Who do you meet who is ridiculously politically correct for example, it’s all media driven and those in charge run scared when there is nothing to be scared of.
Most people appreciate simple common sense, that said I suppose we all appreciate things that appear to be in short supply !
