Happy Hallowe’en from Lincolnshire
Tonight is Hallowe’en, or All-Hallow-Even, as we elderly self-imagined scholars prefer to say.
Q: What are you doing for Halloween Rod ?
A: Hoping not to be disturbed by pesky kids that’s what !
Is there an all hallows eve synonym equivalent of that perennial Yule tide favourite bah humbug ? If not, there ought to be !
I usually have little idea of what actual day it is never mind things like bank holidays and all this spooky stuff.
I should have remained in blissful ignorance were it not for the new Google logo that faced me on 4 windows when I fired the combuster up this morning.

Another sterling job from the art department at the Googleplex. They have done some great ones over the years but this is my favourite, a spoof of course, sent to me the other day under the auspices of “saw this and thought of you”

Needless to say, such is the popularity of your charming and magnetic host, I have been invited to dozens of parties to celebrate the event. Sadly most of these seem to be taking part in various strip clubs in LA - still, it’s nice to get, literally, a couple of 100 absolutely genuine and personal
invitations to various events !
Below a not untypical sampler of the invites !
The lovely ♥Nickii♥ invited me to a “costume ball” (direct quote, not my words !) she was also good enough to include a picture of what she’ll be wearing!

I had enough spooky stuff to last me a lifetime after a night of strange dreams-hallucinations, never known anything like it - what’s more I can remember most of it - something that never normally happens.
Anyhoo, I had better dash, put the final touches to my costume, decorate the garden and the windows, carve my pumpkin (ooer!), buy lots of sweets and chocolates for the neighbourhood thugs kids !
Have a good one whatever you do and if you are the owner, or should I say handler, of any pesky kids …
keep them on a lead and away from La Casa Goldeneye
