Girls Aloud St Trinian’s Video Theme Tune

Girls Aloud don the schoolgirl uniforms for the official video of the theme tune for the film St Trinian’s
Rather annoyingly it’s quite catchy - watch it here !

There could be a real danger of a serious malfunction in the Goldeneye musical appreciation circuitry here, I also like Love Machine as well - aaaaaaargh ! what’s happening to me !

This video shows the girls in the usual St Trinian’s get up of schoolgirl uniform and stockings which should be enough for an ageing bachelor but I actually quite like the song - it’s now buzzing around in my head.
Watch the video, it also has scenes from the film itself edited in - see what you think.

Now I’ve watched it a couple of times and like it even more - I think I’m having a funny turn !
Nurse the screens !

I think I’m going to have to watch the movie as well, Russell Brand is in it, fast becoming an androgynous style icon, and once deemed as a Goldeneye Goldeneye 1 Star Rating
Now a star in ascendance and a definite Goldeneye 4 Star Rating

In an attempt to salvage something from this tragic slide into hype, manufactured pop, tight trousers and make-up (and that’s just Russell Brand) we’ve come across an old (old ???? c1999) video of Paul Gilbert playing his version of the Stevie Ray Vaughan classic Scuttle Buttin’ - proving that the master of shred guitar can also kick ass with blues and country crowd. The video was taken at seminar and amateur shot - but non-the-less …
No hype, no big production just one man with talent and a guitar
Goldeneye Verdict Goldeneye 5 Star Rating \m/

I’m going to have a bath now, the question is whether I have a nice hot bath to ‘warm up’ in readiness for an attempt on Everest learning to play Scuttle Buttin by Paul Gilbert (the mountain would be easier) or a cold bath in order to get over seeing Girls Aloud in schoolgirl uniforms and fishnets !
Another day in the life of a bachelor and would-be over the hill lothario / guitar hero

Let us know where your vote lies - Screaming kids or screaming guitars !

    Rod,

There must have been a reversal in the earths good taste vibes….. the Witches are edging towards Paul Gilbert and his glorious wardrobe! Still, no competition really :)

diversity is the sugar of life !
You’re in trouble liking PG’s wardrobe, even he makes fun of it on his own website

    Rod,

PG may well make fun of his gear but we know a believer when we see one… he loves it really, you can’t fool the Witches. Every now and again he’ll yearn for a top notch suit but for most of the time he’ll feel strangely at ease in a fake fur waistcoat and hat. Out of the same mould Billy Connolly, PG and the Witches :) Saw a clip of BC from about twenty years ago and was reminded that he is our sort of man… then for no reason at all into our dreams pops Colin in white shirt, drenched from the pond, hearts pounding… s’pose that is what you might call diversity? :)

    p.s. Happy Christmas everyone!

    Rod,
I’ve got the original SRV ‘Scuttle’ track which I love but that’s awesome. Wonder if he will do that on tour next year?!!!!!!!!

he does loads of covers at these seminars and teaching gigs, also at Ibanez demonstartions. As part of the same set he jams a Judas Priest track with Rob Halford singing - all on YouTube - of course
