Don’t Try To Buy a Cinema Ticket
In an effort to be organized and avoid a nightmare/disaster on the night I thought I would buy an advance ticket to see Casino Royale.
Shouldn’t be difficult - I should have known better
Left the house just before 10am, thought I’d go down the motorway and avoid the town traffic.
Roadworks and traffic jams all the way down the A180, log jammed!
Finally got to a roundabout, went all the way round and returned whence I came.
After half an hour I was back where I started so threaded my way through town and yet more roadworks.
Eventually got to Cleethorpes, parked and went for a walk along the front and up to the cinema.
A lovely bright day, and a pleasant walk. Got to the multiplex only to find all the doors locked.
No mention anywhere of any opening times!
They’ll probably open at 12 I thought. Go and look around the retail park and the hysterically named designer brands outlet !
Left there laughing my head off and went to Macdonalds.
Returned to cinema, still locked.
Walked along the boating lake, then along the front and through Cleethorpes all the way back to the car, took an hour.
I know, I’ll now drive back to the cinema, they’re sure to be open now.
Did so still locked - Jesus Christ.
Went home dejected wondering why I even bother. 3 hours to get a ticket and still empty handed - I minded to let them wedge it and wait for the DVD

Rod … the logical workings of the female mind would have dictated either phoning the Parkway cinema, which we presume is your choice, or booking on line:
24hr booking service 01472 290 100
film 140 mins long, cost £6 for adult
People may book online and their website gives dates and times …….

You are logical ladies trying to help, i understand this being one myself and all you say is true for, and i will put this, for ‘most ladies’ out there.
A mans logic doesnt run on the same tracks im afraid. Hence Mr Collins wasted day out in Cleethorpes. Wasted petrol and stress!
I would like to think that the walk would have burnt off a few excess pounds for him, but a trip to McDonalds would have ruined any good that he may have done!

thanks for the tip, that did indeed occur to me as did booking online when I checked their website last night.
But knowing how things go for me, I would get there and they would know nothing of it etc.
My idea was to get a ticket in my hand that way insuring when I went there on the night I would definately get in !
