Daniel Craig James Bond to Become Lucifer ?

Daniel Craig, still basking in the success of the latest James Bond 007 movie Casino Royale may be about to play the devil himself !

Daniel Craig always enjoyed some good roles and offers prior to playing James Bond but since his success as 007 offer are, apparently, flooding in.
Most notably amongst them is an offer to play the role of the devil in the John Milton classic Paradise Lost.

This classic literary work is to be turned into a movie by director Scott Derrickson and could be just the kind of thing that may appeal to Daniel Craig in an effort to avoid being typecast as James Bond.

We shall of course keep you updated should further news emerge, meanwhile here at Goldeneye we are still eagerly awaiting the arrival of Casino Royale on DVD

I should imagine any actor fortunate enough to be typecast as James Bond, financially would be made for life.

Ref the Casino DVD - is it due to be released on the 19th March ?,
now will that be the standard edition, the extended edition,
the specially extended edition, with extras, the director’s cut or the directors extended cut,
with many of these blockbuster big budget movies, I am never sure when to make my purchase.
Buy it on the release date or wait and see if a little later a better version comes out ?

exactly the problem here as well. According to OMITK the release is a double disc version but I am wondering about the possibility of a directors cut rather than the one tailored for a 12 certificate.

There are also some unpleasant final considerations to be taken into account when buying newly released DVDs - extremely traumatic !

Daniel Craig ….. ‘a head for business and a bod for sin’, as Melanie Griffith said in Working Girl. Excellent casting.

Absolutely - will he still be in such good shape though ?
I may need to be his body double !

I wanted to wait it out as well but it may be too difficult this time, I may have to just bite the bullet :(

I don’t think that money is Craig’s concern. I think that typecasting and lack of acting challenges are.

    Hi Rosie
I agree with you. When you look at DCs track record he has got a nice mix of ‘quality’ film work along with the odd role in the likes of Tomb Raider so balances the money/career satisfaction quite nicely.

As he’s took 007 out of the tradional character I also see no reason why it should type cast him either. Think Matt Damon, he does Bourne superbly but also works very well and without issue elsewhere.

Thanks for taking the tim eto post Rosie
    Regards
    Rod
