It is worth mentioning that there is a common misconception the books published by Collins Crime Club are book club editions.
This is not true all of their publications were sold through the same outlets as other publishers - the only mail order aspect was the magazine and mailing list advising members of new titles coming out

Sell Collins Crime Club
As long time collectors we do buy Collins Crime Club first edition books.
Generally only copies within the date range 1930 to 1942
They must include the all important dust jacket as well
If you have anythng you think may be of interest leave a comment on this thread

It is worth mentioning, for the benefit of newer collectors, that all Collins Crime Club first editions should have orange/red cloth.

Other colours are reprints, later editions or later impressions - whcihever phrase you prefer.

They are NOT variants !

Hello April
most late Collins Crime Club books are of relatively minor value I am afraid. You are quite right to mention ex-public library copies. These often accounted for the largest part of the print run. So whilst not hugely valuable many of these books can actually be difficult to find in fine condition

There are some notable exceptions in terms of collectability though:
Jonathan Gash
Reginald Hill
Michael Pearce
Are just three that spring immediately to mind
Hope this helps a little April

Hi
are the newer Collins Crime Club books of any value to collectors?
I have quite a few and I think some may be rare as you only see library copies usually
Thanks
