Cleethorpes Country Park
This morning saw your host out for the day - a bit of business (well hoping to find a few books) but mostly social. It was a landmark day for the year as it saw me bedecked in a (stylish of course) scarf for the first time this year.
Autumn is hear - summer, such as it was, has gone - a time for reflection !
I love being out and about and walking - this year was no exception and I was aided with my new camera . I find is hugely relaxing and also enjoy the exercise. I’m fortunate in that I have the time to wander about as I choose and doubly fortunate in that life is relatively stress free so relaxation of the mind is not critical !
Tell me where this is - I had a great time here - to me it could have been anywhere !

The Sun Sets on a Perfect Time
I suppose I had to take the Sunset shot - cliched it may be but no less lovely.
The shot below reflects the title of the post (note titles don’t always reflect the content of a post
)
This place should grow from strength to strength as it gets established. Several people were fishing and it looks promising though I know nothing of the fish in the lake. I should take up angling again and check it out properly.
Now may be the time in fact - as winter approaches I always think of pike fishing and the great times I had roving with only a rod reel and bag of lures !

Cleethorpes Country Park
I’m hoping to make something of the colder months this year !
The kitchen garden is coming to an end - all too quickly it seems - but I’m looking for new outlets to surrender precious Goldeneye hours and days to - suggestions greatly appreciated
I’m also planning to improve this site as well - the girlie type articles will not disappear but will take more of a back seat as they’ve done pretty much what I wanted them to do.
As always, finding things to write about is the problem, again I always really appreciate suggestions and opinions on previous content, I do bear them in mind when trying to juggle content which has to try and cover subjects to suit over 1.5 million hits a month !
If you have any comments in general or things you’d like to see more of - do leave a comment.
If you’re a regular viewer please do feel free to participate - you can do with complete anonimity and it’s not a closed club - we get comments from all sorts in all countries - the site is much the better for it so …
Go on - throw caution to the wind - ask a question - leave an opinion - suggest an article subject.
Regards to all
Wintery Rod

Very nice serene post.
“I’m fortunate in that I have the time to wander about as I choose and doubly fortunate in that life is relatively stress free”
Lucky, fortunate you, not too condescending at all.

Hi Jordan
thanks for that - I use the terms ‘fortunate’ and ‘lucky’ but never sit quite comfortable with them - they seem to suggest that I fluked things !
Whatever the terminology I enjoy not being part of the rat race, my own little world seems infinitely nicer than the other one out there
Cheers

coal fire !!
Sounds like you’re showing off - can you afford fuel ?
My parents are the only people I know around Grimsby who have a coal fire - they of course can afford it as they’re pensioners !
I think I’ll be burning books this winter to keep warm - gas being only marginally less luxurious than caviar nowadays

Rod,
Interesting to note that the hot chicks have in your words …. done pretty much what I wanted them to so now you are able to side line them….. it is both refreshing to hear and sad for the mortal pin-ups, that their sell by date is almost up. We shall dwell on that while shouting for joy, such are the complexities of the female mind
Looking out on this truly glorious day, we none of us in the Shire should be complaining about the weather. Instead let’s hope everyone is able to make the most of the autumn sunshine armed with suitably stylish knitwear of course!

the girls will not disappear altogether - and they also continue to do what I hoped they would, so it’s not really past tense as I suggested - they’re all working hard behind the scenes.
I resisted a couple of hot chick posts this week - so I’m doing well
The day is indeed glorious, I’ve been fo ra short walk and now I’ll go out !

I’ve often thought it best not to revisit places but to leave them as great memories.
Possibly the passage of time makes pike fishing at Revesby seem or feel better than it was - I doubt it but you never know.
I’ve had some great times fishing so perhaps it is something I should revisit !
Cheers

cleethorpes country park is good for piking because this winter i had a 24lb pike and there are carp up to 31lb in there but night fishing is now prohibited but the area isn’t as bad as everyone makes it out to be.

Dale,
thanks for taking the time to comment and welcome to the site - that’s a tremendous fish - well done indeed.
It may be the year to dust off my Baitrunners !
All the best
