Christmas Crackers and Boxing Day Blues
Time again for our regular, well ish, weekly round up. This one takes in the highs and lows of christmas (don’t email me anymore about the capital c, I am making a point not a grammatical error)
So here are the things that shone and those that…….. well didn’t
Christmas Crackers
1: Clothing as gifts - 4 and everyone a winner !
2: Losing a little weight - who else did at xmas ?
3: Being a bachelor - no baggage - the only way to fly
4: Sopranos series 6 on DVD
5: Claret - back in fashion - no more 3 glass nights
6: Reading
7: Xmas cheer
8: Google news
Boxing Day Blues
1: Bruised ribs from coughing
2: Chest infection - what a bore
3: Ian Fleming - poor quality writing
4: HMV sale - bloody waste of time
5: Abstinence - 3 glasses of wine, never again
6: All clothes in the sale - I never buy any sale item
7: TV - what do people watch on it ?
8: The Times newspaper - only use is the killer sudoku

By the sounds of it you didn’t drink enough alcohol!

I think you must be right, I shall try and redress the balance from now on.
The wine makers of France are having a hard time of it as it is without me adding to their woes with sobriety.
Trust you drank your alloted quota ?

Rod

How very studious of you! Selfless to the last, good man!
Oh yes drank plenty, although i dont know what my ‘alloted quota’ is so i better keep drinking just incase i haven’t reached it yet!

don’t worry too much about quotas, government figures are notoriously dubious.
The best way to gauge it is
Keep a tally of your drinks until you fall over, then in future just just have one less.
Best

Good idea, but the art of numbers isn’t too good when drinking

I went on a stag night which I knew would be a big night. I put a coin in my left trouser pocket every time I had a pint, just to see what the damage was.
Scared myself when I counted them but was still able to vault over some railings in order to catch the last bus home.
Lots of man points but it’s not big and it’s not clever
Cheers
