Celebrity Winners and Losers ~ Who’s Hot and Who’s Not
Who is in the ascendance and who is in dependence in the world of fame and celebrity this week !
A round up as we usually do once a week this time featuring only celebrities - who are, let’s face it, the most important and popular subject in the whole wide world ever !
The Rising Stars - Those Showing Potential
Boris Johnson
Related to King George II - all round good egg - get the Goldeneye thumbs up !
The Olympic Team
I have no idea about any of them only that they did well - made the country proud.
It bores me rigid but I greatly admire their achievement and dedication
I did like the Beijing Babes though
Jeremy Clarkson
More popular choice for Prime Minister than Gordon Brown.
Another notch on his belt a she’s also a sex symbol
Steve Ouimette
Plays Devil Went Down to Georgia on Guitar Hero - keeping your host quiet - well noisily practising actually
Jimmy Page & Leona Lewis
I was going to put this in the sucks category but having great journalistic integrity I thought I’d better see it before I panned it !
Youtube are busy taking the video down as fast as people can put them up, finally found on the BBC.
Actually they were good, she sang well and he rocked (for an old fella)
Very British - so thumbs up !
The Meteorites - Those Crashing Back Toward Earth
Gordon Brown
Have you seen him trying to smile - makes your toes curl
Go already !
Jordan - Katie Price
Another boob job now even smaller. It’s so upsetting I could not bring myself to blog it and bring you the pictures.
Regulars will remember my campaign to have her breasts listed as national treasures so she couldn’t have them reduced !
All very depressing news - worse than the credit crunch !
Kimi Raikkonen
Incredible driver who is also paid millions and millions for driving a Ferrari but he just can’t be bothered !
Earns another fortune with sponsorship with the likes of Tag Heuer and once made the better half of these lists
Jimmy Page & Leona Lewis
Gary Glitter
Airline upgrades - special treatment - police protection at the tax payers expense
Sickening !
If you’ve any comments to make or indeed additions to either list please do leave a comment below
Regards
Rod

Rod,
Did you see Boris’ speech in Beijing where he told everyone ‘ping pong’ was invented in England and how ‘ping pong was coming home’!
Classic Boris. Brown stood no chance next to him, still, Brown could announce he was giving a thousand pounds to every UK citizen and it would still be depressing!

Rod,
I agree with you and LB, Boris Johnson is fab, really down to earth and an all round great guy, but GG should be put on a deserted Island and left to rot!!!!!

didn’t see the speech but he was on good form on the TV show Who Do You Think You Are !
I think the only people who wory about what he says are politicians and commentators around Westminster - the rest of the population either agrees with him or simply smiles.
Cheers

Rod,
We watched the Who Do You Think You Are programme and wasn’t it just amazing, the man is related to all of Europe’s royalty and most of the Turkish establishment as well…. you couldn’t make it up and as for Boris, he was equally amazed… great stuff.

absolutely - I’m sure they must research the the family well before any programme is to be made though - I wonder whether they let on to the guests what the know in advance ?

Rod,
Well they must because otherwise it could all end in itinerant farm workers like our very own history shows. That’s all fine and good but might get a bit boring after a while. We’ll be watching the rest of the series to see what other revelations might come to light.
WoE
p.s. of course we’ve only just begun our own family tree…. in time we expect to find a selection of royalty, artists and eccentrics as well as prominent female stone age warriors and chariot designers

I’d leave your family tree alone - you don’t know where it might lead - possibly pirates of the high seas
Cheers
