Shall I Wreck My Living Room ?

I’m thinking about effectively ruining my living room

Pictures of Gothic Gravestones & Gothic Culture

A Selection of Photographs featuring Gothic Style Gravestones, Headstones, Memorials & Grave Markers
I’ve decided to put together a series of photographs featuring beautiful gravestones and gothic styled statues, carvings etc.
They are both interesting, beautiful and a chance to do something photographically, hope you’ll agree - I’ve also written, what I hope is, of interest to the uninitiated - a brief overview of what Gothic and Goths meant once and is today . . .

Do You Need an Expensive Camera to Take Good Pictures ?

Do You Need an Expensive Camera and Expensive Lenses & Equipment to Take Good Photographs ?
I’m talking here about photographs rather than pictures per se that is to say image quality etc, not a unique and special moment like photographing a yeti on the mobile phone.
As I type this I’m charging the battery of a modest Canon DSLR camera just to see what happens in . . .
The Cheap Camera Challenge . . .

Old Tree Pictures ~ Tree Related Photographs

Pictures of Old Trees, Woods and Stumps
I really rather like trees, the more of them I see the more I like them. So, because of that I thought I start a bit of a photographic gallery page which will feature interesting trees, forests, woods, logs, branches stumps etc.
I’ll be adding new images as and when I take them - just thought it would be nice to get them in one place.
Hope you like them . . .

Mr Lincolnshire 2012 ~ Modelling in Lincolnshire

Modelling in Lincolnshire & Mr Lincolnshire 2012
Finding models n the Grimsby and Cleethorpes area is not the easiest thing in the world, given that I love doing studio photography so much it can be frustrating.
However, if you can’t beat them join them - today I’ve mostly been modelling

Now, regulars will be only too aware of my Outrageously Awesome Hat but a new season means a new hat and the lack of models means that today I had to abandon the camera and get on the other side of the lens !

Do Photographs Look Better with Borders ?
I’ve been pondering, and indeed experimenting in Photoshop, this week on a subject which hadn’t really occurred to me before.
Are digital images improved when they have a border, as they would have had in the days of film ?
A couple of examples here and thoughts
