Ok, fine. Can someone at least tell me this... should I just store it away, or is should I just read it? I'm just curious if it's something that I should just put away for its safety.

Hi David,
thanks for the comment and welcome to the site - I'm afraid we don't value books over the internet - sorry about that
Cheers

I couldn't find a better resource than this, so I thought I'd ask. I have a US first edition of Casino Royale without the dust jacket. I'm wondering how much it's worth. I'm looking for a ballpark number as I know it varies a lot. My copy is in great condition, just missing the dust jacket. Thanks.

Hi John
the last US first I had I put on eBay, can't remember how much I got - good few hundred, UK Sterling,
The only way you'll really know what you can get for it is to offer it to a dealer, any auction is subject to obvious variables.
You can buy the US first in jacket for less than £1,000 usually, often considerably less, condition is obviously a factor.
Hope that helps a little John
Cheers

Rod, can you give me the name of an online auction company that may be interested in helping me? Even if the USA printing is not as valuable. I would like to see how much I can get for it. Thanks.

Hi John
thanks for the comment and welcome to the site.
You have an American edition by the sounds of it and it's the UK first that is the really valuable book..

To put the book into auction simply take it to the nearest auction house and they can advise you from there
Best of luck with it

I have in my old novel library, 2 Ian Fleming first edition novels (Casino Royale and You only live twice). I would like to learn how I can put these on the auction block to sell. I noticed you had a first edition Casino Royale for sale for $19,000 online. The book I possess is the exact same book as described: *Hardcover, blackboards with blue edges*Copyright 1953 by Glidrose Productions LTD.*Published in the USA by Macmillan Company, 60 Fifth Avenue, NY*Uneven pages, with the top edges an orange highlight*3 blank pages at the back of the book*NO writing on any pages, excellent mint condition, 2 or 3 pages have been folded over on the corner, but that is the only discrepancy. I do believe the dust cover is also in excellent condition, but it is at my Mother's house. I'm sure I can find it. I would appreciate any help you could give or to point me in the right direction.
