British Teenagers Are the Worst Behaved in Europe

A new study and report reveals that the teenagers of this country are the worst behaved in Europe !

Something else this country has to be proud of I guess.
If you are a British teenager then you are far more likely to:

    Binge Drink
    Get Pregnant
    Get into Fights
    Commit Acts of Vandalism
    Be a Public Nuisance

The list goes on and we seem to top the chart in every category.
Why is this?
Do we blame our culture, our society, the parents, the government or the man in the moon ?

Our guest writer The Coxeman had his own ideas on this and touched on the subject in his guest article How to Raise Children there could actually be something in what he says ;)

The problem must begin with parents in most cases - surely ?
I saw to very young (16-17) teenage parents today walking back from town. The girl had a bottle of WKD in her hand and the lad a can of Stella (11.30 am). Both were swearing profusely as they dragged their young child along - what chance does that kid actually stand !
She’d have to be exceptional to drag herself out of those surroundings.

Much is made of young teenage girls getting pregnant and why the problem should be so rife in this country.
For many young girls getting pregnant is now a career choice !

An awful lot of girls, and women, can get far more money in benefits than by working. They will also be given accommodation, something they could never afford at a youngish age.
Many young girls in unhappy homes must see this as the only way out.
I don’t say this is a prime reason but it must influence some people and sway decisions should they find themselves pregnant.
After all, nobody today need have a child should they so wish - it is a conscious decision from start to finish.

No doubt these study results will provoke that idiot Blair Brown to declare some sort of enquiry is needed which no doubt will report in a couple of years time after numerous fact finding trips abroad !

The reality is simple: give the next generation hope
Give them something to aspire to, encourage them, show them the positive side of a work ethic and make people and parents more responsible for their and their children’s actions.

Generally speaking, the brighter the future is for someone or the more they have to lose is directly proportional to their willingness to risk losing it.

Somebody who has nothing and no expectations of getting anything or anywhere has, by definition, nothing to lose !

We’re all doomed
Rod

PS: This just pinged in from a former member of Vardis the Rock Band nice to have an actual band member contribute - why not encourage children to play a musical instrument or join a band - it has to be beneficial.
