Ban All Bank Holidays

All public and bank holidays should be banned !
I know this may be unpopular with some, but, like a good capitalist, I am only concerned with myself !

If you are part of that unfortunate group that has to work for a living then I presume you receive an allocation of vacation days, this should be enough for you!

Extra public holidays are nothing but a bore, given they are no different to any other day for me.
Nothing special happens, indeed, due to people getting days off work there is less to do.

I have even tried to contact Rod Damon to see what he has to say about the, now notorious, airplane incident.
He seems to have gone to ground, doubtless the publicity is not helpful to an international secret agent

This tedious situation now leaves me with two choices:
1: Go to the seaside
2: Actually do some work [shudder]

I may go and see if there are any Hot Chicks frolicking in the sea

Thanks to President Blair and his party for the working class we chefs are now entitled to bugger all for working bank holidays apart from the headache of ordering extra stock because none of the suppliers can be arsed to work.
It’s bad enough not being able to do anything on a sunday because of the dozen or so remaining christians that still live in the UK but monday’s as well-if I have to work bank holidays then so should everyone with a caravan or a horsebox-don’t get me started.

your working conditions sound Dickensian, are you sure you have them right!

In the dim and distant past, wen I woz an injuneer, I too could work bank holidays should I so wish.
The remuneration was double time for all hours worked, plus a day off in lieu payed at time and a half.

Sounds like you need to renegotiate!
