Are Women Gold Diggers ? Beware of the Trophy Wife

What does the successful man need ? A good woman of course.
If you’re very successful then, irrespective of your looks, personality or sense of humour, you may be lucky enough to land a so-called Trophy Wife !
Lucky you - well perhaps not …

The gold diggers out there are showing their hands at the moment it seems, surprising really as we all know women really want a man with a good sense of humour and don’t care about money because they can earn their own :) .
In the high-flying world of big London salaries there are huge cutbacks and job losses in the financial sectors. Highly paid financiers and brokers are facing losing their jobs and million £ salaries.

Luckily those that are married will be able to turn to their wives for some comfort and solace at this terrible time, errr … not so …
Their wives are doing the decent thing and going for a quick divorce to get the biggest possible settlement before the man they love is out of work !

Lawyers are saying that the number of women applying for a divorce from the husbands who work in the London financial sector has literally tripled recently on the news of hard times.

The men should have known better say I !
But you can’t tell some of them - they seem drawn like moths to a flame !
Even the well known trophy wife Zsa Zsa Gabor famously said:

A man is not complete until he is married
And when he is married - he’s finished !

I’m trying to think of who sang the song Stand By Your Man
I can’t remember but I guess it’s not the high maintenance looking blonde girl in the Mercedes SL sports car waving her husbands black Amex card about :)

It’s a good job nobody want to marry me or I’d be getting worried now !

    Tammy Wynette sang it.

    A couple of quotes:

The happiness of a married man depends on the people he has not married.

The only real tragedy in a woman’s life is that her past is always her lover, and the future is invariably her husband.

Men marry because they are tired, women because they are curious; both are disappointed.

like the quotes, all 3 very apt. As with all sayings that are humorous there is more than a kernel of truth in them - hence their survival
